Yesterday we visited Bicycles Unlimited looking for a ladies' bike. I was excited about this purchase: my long-anticipated gift from last Christmas. We were pointed in the direction of the ladies' section (literally - someone stood behind the counter and pointed to the bikes). Ok. So we walked over (unescorted), and checked out the selection. Meanwhile, four men carried on a conversation behind the counter. Or rather one man spoke, and three others listened. Or they were just bored...it was hard to tell. Either way, nobody ever moved. After browsing for a little while we made eye contact with the salesperson (?) who had pointed. But this was somehow the wrong move, because he walked away. This was also around the time we started to second-guess not our decision to try this shop filled with bicycles, but rather our assumption that we could just show up and expect someone to want to sell us one (how tacky). To avoid further injury, we (the only guests at the time) left. Apparently this was the right thing to do, since not one of the four men behind the counter said anything to us as we left.

I called the shop to find out if they carried a rare size inner tube and they did... The staff were knowledgeable and friendly... The guy I spoke with over the phone remembered me from our brief conversation over the phone and offered a warm welcome... I would definitely recommend them for all your bicycle needs!!!!!
