My husband and I go to this restaurant quite often and have never been disappointed. I love, love, love the ziti parmesan and my husband's favorite is the triggerfish special. The marsala, chicken parm, pizzas, abruzzi bread are wonderful too. The loaves of bread with oils/spices and/or butter that they serve complimentary is to die for. If you leave room for dessert, the tiramasu is amazing. On top of delicious food, the service is top notch. Give Pastaria a try; you'll be glad you did!
I am sorry Thomas L, below, had a bad experience because I have never encountered any but the nicest of waitresses and the manager is a good guy. Their food is excellent. It has grown from a teeny bistro sized restaurant to its current location. I have gone there for at least 15 years, and the food is always excellent, and if there is ever a complaint, it's addressed promptly. They don't operate as Thomas stated. They operate on a customer is always right basis.
My Family and I went there tonight. The waitress seemed nice and it fell further and further apart from there. The food was not that good, but honestly not bad enough to complain initially. We mentioned that the lettuce in a salad did not seem as fresh as it could have been which was then followed by the manager following up on this comment. He explained how WRONG our opinion was since the very idea of it was impossible, which then prompted us on giving a critique on what was wrong with the rest of the meal. With each issue we had, he repeated things like or similar too; "that's not possible", "I have years of Culinary Experience" and most notably, "Well the next time you come here, you should ask for it to made...". The next time we come here?.. With my family's combined 150+ of eating Italian food versus your 20 years of kinda making it?...Nice Try. Never again.
We had delicious food & great service at reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Try the veal the chef does a great job.. Very small space so get there early...
