Called several places for Top Soil delivery. Woodside Nursery was the only place to help me figure out how much top soil I needed. (I'm Planting a Vegetable garden) Thay had a great special and delivered this past weekend. It was a great weekend to prepare my vegetable garden. The topsoil was clean and I added peatmoss to enrich the soil. I went to Woodide Nursery to start my garden and one of the employees was very helpful in explaining when I should start planting. He showed me a list of the vegetable they are carrying and the list has everything. To many to mention. I did pick up some lettuce and brocolli as I was told they are early crops. I am very excited to go back in a few weeks to get planting.

For many years now Woodside Nursery has been doing a ""fall festival"" during the month of October. And every year it gets better and better. A saturday or sunday is well spent at a very cute nursery setting that has been decorated elegantly for the fall. Kids have a good number of activities available to them including an outdoor fall themed walk and the Spooky tunnel, which must take alot of time to prepare! My kids were thrilled to ""Pan for Gold"" at the California Gold rush, where the running water and banjo music got them in the mood, they even got to keep their gold and gemstones! Not to mention that they picked pumpkins, ate roasted corn, jumped in the balloon bounce and even Made our own scarecrow as a family. We brought the young ones in costumes and they had smiles on their face the entire time.(especially after having them painted) The staff was extremely friendly and even us adults had a great time. Each activity was very cheap and ranged around a couple of dollars. And we got our hay, cornstalks and mums to continue the fall fun when we got home.
This is a very nice, well priced nursery with an extreme amount of character and for a family day out with the kids is unbeatable locally for the experience that they will have. I recommend this to everyone and anyone with young children looking for a safe and fun place to celebrate the fall season. Its truly a must have experience for all!!!

I have usually go here about 3 times a year for the month of october, once with my 3 small cousins(3,5,7) once with my fiance's 2 cousins(6,9) and once with my family. We have been going here for years like a tradition and im always on the look out for fun halloween things to do. the place is small and family owned, kept very very clean. they have a number of things to see and do that are usually changing all the time so you never know whats going to be new. They have a small food stand that serves LI grown roasted corn and it is unbelievable you have to try it and at only $1.50 you might as well have 2! the stand also has some ice cream and hot dogs along with some other small snacks all under 2 bucks but the corn is whats really worth getting. they just started a new outdoor walk with some interesting sights like worlds biggest pumpkin. We always pick our own pumpkins in a field of hay, and buy cornstalks and some other decorating trinkets they sell. the spook house is cute not really for older kids but lots to see if your an adult that likes detail, def. some spooky fun for the under 12 crowd. Also i saw a gold rush this year only my boys wanted to do it but they found so GOLD!(fools gold) and were given a baggie to take it home in. There are lots of other things to im forgeting but def. worth the trip if you are into the october spirit. The only con is if you park in the front the walk is about 2 minutes to the field.

I was at this nursery last Oct. 2004 with my sons 2nd grade field trip with RCK-East Islip school. The nursery did a fabulous job entertaining the kids to the fullest. They got to pick their own pumpkins, heard a semi spooky story read by a friendly witch , they played hot potatoe in the hay, and they walked through pumpkin town which was kid friendly as well. They do have a scary walk through exhibit that the kids got to choose to go in only if they wanted to. It wasn't too scary but I think under 7 might be frighten but older than that would love this not too scary spooky house. I plan on going again this year with my husband and 2 other kids!! Its a nice place to go for a cute & fun halloween afterno9on outing!!
