Century Moving Services
90 Dayton Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055
Spoke with David and his manager Tim about possibly moving my mother's home closer to me in Texas. These guys did everything they said they were and I'm extremely thankful for their services. From beginning to end, I didn't experience one hiccup with this process. I recommend.
This was one of the best moves that I have ever had. Tim, Anthony, David, and Adriana were all very helping me move my family to Arizona. I would gladly recommend anyone to use their service. Saved me a ton of money and the delivery turnaround was right around the time we were arriving in AZ. Thanks once again.
What an amazing Service!!Century Moving always left their customer with Satisfaction. On the day of the move, the movers arrived well within their estimated window and were fast in packing and loading everything. You don't have to worry about any of your items. Nothing was broken or damaged.Highly recommend them.
I can only say good things about this company. This was not my first move, but it was definitely my biggest. I moved out of my home after having it for 30 years so there were a lot of things to get rid of and a great deal of packing.
Moving was smooth and everyone did their job. The guys worked really hard so I did give them a tip. They really deserved it. I hope I don't have to move again because it's never fun, but having this moving company was a big help.
I want to drop a review for this company because I think they do a great job. I moved from Jersey to North Carolina last month. I called a couple companies and asked about how much it would cost to move. It is crazy how expensive everyone is for moving, but I get that a longer move is a big deal. I called Century Moving after calling a couple places. The estimate was pretty good compared to what I got from other places. Decided to go with them.
I was told the move could take around 10 business days, but it ended up only taking three. This was good because I was expecting it to take longer to arrive and it just made everything easier. The truck came in the afternoon and the movers placed things in the correct rooms where I asked them to put them. Wilber was a very nice guy and there were also two other guys that came.
The move did cost a little more than I thought because I needed some help with packing and I had a few more items that I decided to move. It was reasonable. The movers were very careful because I have tight hallways. One mark on the wall but not a big deal and I was able to remove most of it. I am really happy with this move and suggest other people to use them as well.
A great company here for sure. They have moved me twice and both times have been a wonderful experience. The people that work in the office are all cordial and I can tell that they run a tight ship. The movers work really hard and actually care about things being packed right. I was the first move of the day this time around, which was great because everything was done early on. If I move in the future, I will ask to be an early move so that there isn't a waiting period.
We moved my fiance from the Bronx to my house is Edison. Century Moving was recommended to me by a family member so we decided to go with them. They moved all of his stuff and also picked up a couple pieces from his mother's house. I am pregnant so I couldn't lift anything. They were really understanding and helped out with putting all of the boxes in the right places. They also wrapped/unwrapped the furniture and set it up for us. Super nice guys and I'm happy with their work.
Definitely recommend this company. My husband and I bought a house and needed furniture etc. moved from his place and my place. The estimate was on point and everything was moved safely.
I just told my friend about this company too because she is looking to move this summer. You can shop around, but I think these guys give the best deal and we had a great experience.
I helped move my parents into a 50+ community in central New Jersey. They lived in their home for over 30 years so they had a tremendous amount of stuff. We also had to store some things. Zeek spoke to us and he was very knowledgeable and gave me all of the information I needed. At first, I was up in the air about getting movers because I figured my husband and brother could help. When I thought about it more, I realized that it was too much stress and work.
I am really glad that I decided to get help because there was so much to do. Century Moving helped out with a lot of the packing and wrapping and they also have a storage unit where we have left some of the things that my parents don't have room for right now. The movers were really nice and seemed to work very well together. Nice to have a stress free experience.
I just moved in the beginning of April. Went from Cranford to Jersey City because of a job switch. I was living with a roommate so we had to coordinate how to get all of our stuff out. Tim was the guy that spoke to me on the phone and took some information about how many items/boxes I had to move and around how much it would cost. I got an early bird special so definitely ask them if they have any deals running. I bike a lot so I had a couple bikes to move, but overall it was just the typical amount of stuff.
Kathy called me the day before the move just to confirm everything. The guys came in after my friend got all of his stuff out, which is what I requested. Normal move and that was it. Guys were cool and got everything done pretty fast. I just recommended this company to my buddy because I thought they did a good job.
My move was from northern NJ to Hollywood, Florida. I was really nervous about all of this because I had lived in NJ all of my life. I decided to move down to a 50+ community for the better weather and because my son lives down here. The move took place in August and it was blistering hot down here! I honestly felt bad for the movers.
So I will start at the beginning. In May, I called three companies to get an estimate because I never used a moving company before. None of them wanted to come out to my house to check everything, which I really didn't like. They wanted everything done on phone and computer. This company was the fourth that I called and they agreed to come to my house to give me an estimate.
A nice man named Tim made an appointment with me and came to look at everything. He was very friendly and up front about things. He gave me an estimate that included everything with gas and tolls. After consulting my sister and comparing to the other companies I decided to go with these people.
I spoke to Tim a few times because I had questions. He was easy to reach and made me feel like I made a good choice. The movers came to my house 4 days before I was going to head down the Florida so I had to stay with my sister. That was fine. I knew that driving down would happen in advance. I tried to get rid of a lot of things and my son came up from Florida to help me. So getting everything out was fine.
When I got down here I met the driver. He was two hours late because of traffic. I think his name was Dwight. He went over where I wanted everything put and the other men said hello to me too. They set things up for me and also helped me open some boxes. The only thing was that they were a little late so I had to wait, but it wasn't a big deal.
It is nearly two years and I finally decided to write a simple review on this company which I used to move from Staten Island, NY to Houston, Texas. My original plan was to write a long review to describe my horrific experience. I was too busy and decided to go simple so people will learn from my lesson.
1. The quote was $3500 and I ended to pay $8000 with $900 discount.
2. My staff was delivered by two separate truck because they sold the package to some other companies which missed one pack for the first time.
3. The delivery truck driver was super rude and demanded to be paid the remaining balance $3300 on a holiday weekend by cash only. I could not get that much money from the ATM machine because no bank was open.
4. The furniture were all damaged, bags were open and we were not sure if we received all our boxes because it was such a mess and delivered separately.
5. The move date was not confirmed until 8 pm the day before the moving after we negotiated with the manager for nearly a whole day.
6. I could not find my $276 cash in my bag after the movers left my apartment. Some movers were stealing money.
If you want a headache, please choose this company.
I am very impressed with the level of professionalism that these people showed when they moved us. I foster cats so I expressed that I need extra attention paid to the cats' cages. The movers even helped with moving some of the cages and they didn't have to. My husband spoke to Kathy on the phone and she was kind as well. This wasn't a long-distance move, but it was still a lot of work. I'm glad I chose Century Moving to move us.
Please watch out for the movers when they pack your there truck because the charger for cubic feet but they don't fill it up they leave empty spots that accumulated to the $300 of them over charging you I've seen it with my own eyes especially with their chubby Spanish driver and short baldheaded guy dont let them overcharge you
I've moved several times in the last 5 years. Used a variety of moving companies, but with all these companies it was always something.(showing up several hours late, damaged property they refused to compensate me for.) This last move from NY to Florida I used Century Moving Services. They showed up got my house packed up and ready to go before I got back from lunch. I was very impressed. When they deliveried my belongings in Florida it was a tight stairwell 3 floors up.. Moved everything magnificently. Not one scratch on any item.. The movers didn't take a break until the job was completely done, other than a couple drinks of water. Not to mention Tim was the most oustanding salesman I coud've ever worked with, he was there from start to finish, he was a true 'GEM'..I would recommend Century moving services, did not have one single complaint. I WAS SURELY SURPRISED!!!1 Thorough job Century.
