First of all, this place is ridiculously small. We walked in & the waitress was rude didn't greet us at all. In fact, she looked irritated that we walked in. There was only one empty table with one chair when we asked for another chair the waitress informed us she didn't have an extra chair. So, of course, we walked out! Rude staff who are unwilling to accommodate customers I'll take my business elsewhere.
Great place to eat and atmosphere is fun. Except the Sunday Buffett should start at 9 and not at 11 .. :-(
To put this into context: what La Super-Rica is to Santa Barbara, Papi's is to Paso Robles. This place is low-key, friendly and with amazing food. Food runs the gamut but the Fish Tacos are the clincher. The salsa bar is amazing from *hot* to mild with a good mix in between. The roasted jalapenos went amazingly well with my tacos and sope. Plenty of omnivore options but very vegetarian / vegan friendly. In short: excellent food at a great price and served up with a warm welcome. For all of you traveling up/down Hwy 101, the restaurant is just off the downtown exit.
