Stacie E. Zorn was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi on May 16, 1977. She is a life long resident of Jackson County. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1999. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2003. While in law school, Ms. Zorn was member of the Public Interest Law Clinic and the Delta Theta Phi Fraternity, serving as President in 2002-2003 and Treasurer in 2001-2002. She was also listed in Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. Ms. Zorn’s primary practice focuses on federal state employment law litigation. She represents employers before administrative bodies and courts concerning claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and workers’ compensation. Ms. Zorn regularly advises employers regarding personnel matters including policies and procedures, leave entitlement, discipline and discharge, and compliance with state and federal law including, but not limited to, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Ms. Zorn was named a Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Star® in the area of Employment Law in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Ms. Zorn devotes the remainder of her practice to estate law and probate, family law, and general litigation. She is a certified Guardian Ad Litem and serves the 16th Chancery Court District of Mississippi as a special master. Ms. Zorn is a past member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Jackson County Bar Association (President 2004-2005), the Jackson County Bar Association (President 2005-2006; Vice President 2004-2005 and Secretary in 2003-2004), the Mississippi Bar Association, (Secretary, Young Lawyers Division 2006-2007); and the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law and Family Law Section Member). She has served on the Disaster Legal Assistance Committee (Chair 2007-2008; Co-Chair 2008-2009), the Clients Security Fund Committee (Chair 2009-2010; 2010-2011) and Summer School Committee of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Child Advocacy Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar Association. Ms. Zorn is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Youth Health Coalition.
