Normally I love this place, but I think it is going down hill rapidly. The service has slipped to an all time low and it spans several employees and at least 1 of the 6 owners. With this establishment having that many different owners I am not surprised that the structure is falling apart. I ordered our food, and it was very chaotic, it didn't seem like anyone really knew what there jobs were. The area where you sit was full so we decided to sit in the tables in the enclosed patio area where you could still hear them call the numbers over the loud speaker and see them prepare the food; our number was never called over the loud speaker. Our food sat on the top getting cold, We didn't even recognize it as our order as half of it was missing and had corn which we did not order and it was covered in old bay which we ordered it without. When I asked where my 2 lbs of crab legs were, a lady behind the counter asked another worker who responded to her ""Well, he's sh*t out of luck"". We requested to see a manager and while waiting two employees flipped each other off. When we complained with the one owner, Bud, his response was ""What do you want me to do about it?"" Unacceptable! If he would have at least acted sympathetic, I would have thought twice about coming back. As it is, I'm not even going to bother.

We are huge fans of thier fresh seafood, shrimp, scallops, fish, etc... Crabs are also very good, but keep in mind, the more you pay for them, the bigger the size:) The carryout, which you can also order and eat in can be tricky, some of thier platters are good, some not so good, and they are quite pricy at times but they have specials posted on a board everyday. They have a huge covered outdoor space that is great in the summer and large picnic tables inside which you share with other customers which is nice for meeting new people. There are also beer, sodas, and desserts to choose from ,long story short, great food, great atmosphere, and prices that are fair for the food !!

There is no table service at this restaurant. You walk up to order your food and carry it back to your table when it's done. Most tables are outside in a tent-like area. 2 very small stuffed shrimp with a lot of breading and no lump crab whatsover costs you $20. A cup of lukewarm, not-so-great cream of crab costs you $6. 2 kids and 2 adults generated a bill of $89 for mediocre food with minimal leftovers (4 sodas, 2 soups, clam strips, fish & chips, pathetic stuffed shrimp, and crab cake and shrimp). If anyone from Maryland thinks that this place is top-notch, you must never leave the block.

I called after I paid $50 for 12 jumbo soft crabs. When I got home 40 mins away , I noticed the sizes were random. 3 jumbo and 8 other "" SMALL""
Notice the total amount is only 11. When I called and spoke to D I C K the owner he showed no concern and put the blame on whoever sent them the soft crabs.
He also said the soft crabs are sorted! I asked by who and do they know how to count to 12 ? Do they know the difference between small and jumbo ?
His only comment was they offer 2 sizes larger than jumbo! "" which they didn't have "" All they had were jumbo and something much smaller, What a poor business owner , Dosent even know what he has on display for sale and again places blame with someone else.
POOR customer service and over priced seafood.

Living in Maryland all my life, I am always on the lookout for good seafood restaurants. Anne Arundel is overrun with restaurants offering fancy seafood dishes or way overpriced steamed seafood.
Therefore I was delighted to find this place. They have steamed blue crabs, alaskan crabs, mussels, clams, and shrimp. And you can get a variety of fried seafood items. Nothing fancy, just great seafood relatively inexpensive.
I have been there 3 times and have tried both types of crabs. I am very picky about my crabs. These were full and cooked properly. The mussels and shrimp were also very good.
On my next trip, I am going to try the crab cakes. Another customer said they are awesome.

HORRIBLE and WAYY OVERRATED! We have lived in this area our entire lives but had never tried this place. We had found a coupon for buy one entree get the 2nd half off so we thought we'd give it a try one night--huge mistake! I ordered the crabcake and shrimp platter and my wife ordered the crab imperial platter. Both were available either platter or a la carte, the only difference is the platter includes 2 sides. After ordering, paying and sitting down. My wife noticed that it was actually cheaper to buy her meal seperate instead of the platter which makes no sense whatsoever--you'd think it be the other way around. We weren't talking about a few cents here either, it was more than $5 cheaper to buy the crab imperial a la carte and add on 2 sides. We spoke to an employee to see if this was a mistake and maybe the market prices hadn't been changed--ha what a joke! The employee, who turned out to be the owner, did in fact know this was the case and had the nerve to tell us by ordering everything seperate you actually get larger portions of the side items! We explained that this was a first time at their establishment and had no idea how it was set up...her response ""well you'll next time!"" Are you serious? This is how you treat your customers, especially newcomers, unreal! Did i mention that their credit card machine was conventiently broke so we were forced to use THEIR atm machine to pay for our $60.00 dinner plus the $3 atm service charge. I loved the sign they had hanging up on the wall--have a compliment or complaint, ask to see one of the owners, we'd love to hear about it.....what a joke! BEWARE--RIPOFF and OVERPRICED!

anne arundel seafood on 230 mountain road pasadena, md. this place is the bomb and has the freshest seafood on the east coast. we are a weekly diner here. always the help and food is wonderful. pick and choose any seafood and have it steamed to your liking. picnic tables in and outside on a covered deck. draft and bottle beer, many flavors...other side of restaurant has steamed crabs(all year round) and every type of fresh seafood fried to your liking. homemade salads and soups, oysters and clams on the half shell and prices are very reasonable. you will not leave hungry. the fish sandwich and jumbo fried shrimp and fresh softcrab sandwich are my favorites

We live very close to this place and eat there all the time. The very casual atmosphere is fun and the food is fantastic. We take all our friends and visitors there to relax, eat great seafood, and drink a pitcher or two. Highly recommend this place on any night of the week for a fun, relaxing dinner.

Steamed Scallops, Shrimp,Clams and Crabs are always served perfectly. Raw oysters and clams are always top notch as well. Top it off with draft or bottle beer and you are set. Crabcakes are also good, not the best in Baltimore area but will not disappoint. We pass through this area frequently and always stop by no matter what time of year.

I am so lucky that I can access this place so easily. The service there is top notch. After only going there a couple of times, I was hooked simply based on the service. I am originally a southern girl from Louisiana and I felt like I was back home with family. The quality of the product that they serve there is merely an extension of the people that they hire to work there. Sometimes the prices may get steep but the price hikes are necessary due to weather change (seasonal) as well as low supply times and high demand. If I felt as though they were being unrealistic and robbing patrons, I would have a problem. If I were to ever move, I would still remain a very loyal customer. I have to cut this review short...I am on my way to get my crab legs and shrimp now.

Been going there since 1980.Great food...Very popular place.I go over 30 miles just for the crab cakes. Most of the time the crab cakes are all meat-no filler.Steam shrimp and crabs are fresh and steamed while you wait. The salads and soups are good..Very casual and relaxing.Out of towners really love it.Take out and eat in or sit on porch and eat.
