This is one of those places where you should order little by little. I am so happy my friend brought me here because it's hers and her sons' favorite sushi place. I ordered an order of salmon sashimi (6 big pieces!) and an order of spicy tuna on crispy rice. I was so full. And so satisfied. The salmon melted right in my mouth. I also got to try the spider roll, (WOW the rolls are huge and they are very generous with the fish/meat) and their baked salmon collar. Everything we shared was delicious. The service was a little slow during lunch. It was a full house, but it took a while to get our waters refilled. The salmon collar took a while to come out, I was half way through my food when his salmon came out. I guess they wanted to make sure it was fully cooked. I'll be back to get my salmon fix on!
Went here for Dine LA and their calamari appetizer was on point!! It was crunchy even though the calamari were covered in sauce. Really liked this dish. The sushi entrée was okay.
Great sushi with reasonable price. Other tasty choices are rolls and sashimi.Good service, good ambiance, free outdoor parking at rear of the building.
Great lunch specials. Good sushi. Attentive service. Boats float around the center island where the chef is preparing the fresh sushi plate and places a varied selection of sushi on the boats where you pull from.
How can you not love sushi that floats around and around on a boat? Novelty of it wears off you can order anything you like from the sushi chefs.
Great spot for Classic omakase with super fresh fish. Chef knows how to build the flavor and pace the meal. Service was seamless and made the whole experience just as you'd expect from this great place. Hope to go back soon.
I absolutely love this place. Delicious teppan and the sushi is amazing. I LOVE their sauces. One of my favorite restaurants. A bit pricy, but well worth it.
Great addition to Pasadena. Located in the shoppers lane complex on S Lake. Ave, the restaurant is not visible from the street, it's tucked behind Lemonade. You should park on the structure behind the building. As with other Sugarfish, it's the same menu, "trust me" seems to be the popular one. You get some sushi, some rolls, edamame and sashimi. I typically add uni to my order. The sushi rice is consistent every time I come here so it's worth it.
If you're a sushi lover, this is a must go restaurant. I ordered their chirashi bowl and it was the best one I've had so far. The fish was so fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Everything went really well with their hot green tea. This place could get extremely busy during lunch or dinner time, so I'd recommend to make a reservation 2-3 hours earlier, otherwise expect to wait for at least 1 hour.
Amazing omakase... Truly a must have experience. Trust the chef and enjoy. Sit at the bar and order tasty
