I went to Urban Plates with some coworkers for lunch. It's a great option for people who want to eat healthy and delicious food after workout ( the location is near LA Fitness and SoulCycle).Food: descent size and reasonable price. I ordered the steak plate sided with brussel sprouts and zucchini. It also included a piece of grilled bread to fill you up. I loved the steak and bread. The plate came out to be around $13. Oh btw, check out their cookies at dessert section, they were huge and seemed to be delicious. I bought cookies from somewhere else, so did not get to try the ones here. Next time! Service: very attentive and fast! The servers here always come up with big smiles on their faces. Great customer service. I have been to the other location in San Diego couple years ago and I believe the menus are pretty much the same.
Just had dinner at the La Mirada Sizzler and it was HORRIBLE !!! The hot bar was cold, the meat was so tuft I didn't eat it and the desserts were d…
I know the name Dog Haus implies it's all about the hot dogs but every person I know just raves about their burgers. My favorites are Holy Aioli, Reuben's Cube, and The Ringer. If you must get a dog, try The Amigo (it's like a taco dog). Their tater tots are hands down the best in the world--crispy on the outside, awesomeness in the inside. If you're up for it, try the Sweetie Pie, which is technically a dessert with tater tots, brown sugar, and cheese. The best thing about Dog Haus is the ambience. I love grabbing a burger and beer, sitting outside in the patio, and chilling to good music. My husband and I always rate restaurants according to cost-to-taste ratio and Dog Haus wins above all other restaurants in Pas!
This place was delicious! Remember, its a champagne and dessert bar. They do offer some light dishes if you're looking for a meal, but all you need is the dessert! Our waiter was very nice and helpful and he even gave us two scoops of homemade ice cream on the house. We had the Almond Joy and Pop Royale for cocktails, and the Souffle of the Day (Mexican chocolate) as well as 4 different scoops of ice cream (Basil, Watermelon Mint, Popcorn, and Sea Salt Caramel). The souffle was perfectly baked and tasted delicious and the different ice creams were all great. I wasn't a huge fan of the Popcorn flavored one but my boyfriend loved it. The watermelon mint was my favorite - a light and refreshing taste!
Disappointed. For a $$$ meal, I expected a lot more. I mean, $9 for a side of green means, or sauteed mushrooms? Unless those were grown in your backyard and tended to everyday and free of all chemicals whatsoever, then no thanks.Yes, the steaks were delicious. I had the rib eye and my boyfriend had the filet. We both got lobster tails with our dishes, and I was less than thrilled about the texture. Lobster was mushy, almost like it had been frozen since the ice age and improperly thawed. Ruined the lobster for me.It was for a special occasion, our anniversary, and I'm glad we did it to try, but I don't think I will be going back to pay $$$ for mediocre meals.
Excellent food, service and presentation. We all had steaks, they offer a variety of aging durations and processes. If you are prepared to spend, they offer wagyu steaks. The food keeps coming, they even send you home with a small cake for your breakfast. I think we were served by 14 different people, all wearing suits. But they were unobtrusive and did not disrupt our dinner, someone would just appear at the right time. There is valet parking on Los Robles or you can self-park directly under the restaurant, enter the Westin parking garage on Union Street.
Magnificent Mexican breakfasts--best in town. My husband is addicted to the Huevos Rancheros. On the other hand, I love the Spinach omelet when slathered with the house-made salsa (ask for a side of salsa and the staff will gladly provide it.) As for lunch, I prefer Kathleen's for my business meetings. The staff is great and doesn't mind if your lunch hour stretches to 3 in the afternoon.About dinner, my daughter chose Kathleen's for her graduation dinner because she loves the staff and the Spinach Fettuccine. All in all, a great place to eat!
This place has a special atmosphere. Make sure to eat in the cocktail lounge area - the seating is more comfortable and the waiter on the weekends, Jerry, is the most gracious and friendly waiter you could have. The food is actually very good (considering this is a "family restaurant" you might not expect much more than Denny's), especially the specials. Also, the cocktails are delicious and generously mixed. All-in-all a great (and cheap) way to spend a Saturday evening.
It's hard to do the ambiance justice without including pictures but it is by far the nicest ambiance of any restaurant/lounge in Pasadena. Very romantic setting for after dinner drinks where the music isn't so loud that you can't even hold a conversation. The bar is set in an almost backyard patio-esque setting where at times you forget you're outside until you realize there's a tree smack dab in the middle of all the tables (it's a good thing) and you see the sky above.
Wow - I came here thinking it was going to be just a plain, local diner, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food is really good! I ordered the lamb shank with mashed potato's and green beans. The shank was roasted to perfection and it came with a side of fresh, homemade mint jelly. The mashed potato's were seriously rich and the greenbeans tasted like they came directly from the farme's market. Service was great and I'm looking forward to going back.
I'm not a heavy drinker and I really like their beer cocktail. My favorite so far is the "Sunburn "- St -germaine, Malibu pineapple rum, orange bitters, cranberry juice, pear coder topped with thyme and orange peel. Delicious for me!The service was quite attentive and the overall experience was enjoyable. Dishes there were beyond expected. I loved the duck wings and Moo Shu Egg Rolls! Will go back again for their happy hours!
