I loved the ambience here. A quaint little Italian kitchen, which is surprising because it is a chain. The fettucini alfredo was good, although it had a little bit too much sauce. The rosemary bread with olive oil was divine as was the Italian side salad. Dessert choices were disappointing but that is a personal preference. I ended up not having dessert. Considering we shared the fetuccini alfredo and ordered two sodas, the bill was a little more than I expected ($26) but not horrible.
My husband and I can't resist the beef medallions or the four chees ravioli (have it as the appetizer).\r Great service but it can get busy and you …
To be honest I was surprised to find the rating so low for this place. Ive been going here for 10+ years and never walked away disappointed. I highly recommend getting the bolognese but replace the pasta with fettuccine because they make it themselves. The portion is fair. However, i have noticed a decline in the quality of service which definitely saddens me but won't hinder me from returning. Overall definitely worth trying if you're in the area!
My wife and I were introduced to Gales more than a year and a half ago. Our friends, who travel from Topanga Canyon, were really excited to take us Gale's as we are often in Pasadena for Theater and / or movies. This is a great restaurant with wonderful service, an interesting menu and a very good wine selection. It deserves a visit. You won't be disappointed.
The food and service were wonderful! We loved everything we got, and we enjoyed quite a long dinner. We got in early - it wasn't remotely full at 5pm, but got busier closer to 6:30-7. Loved the Scottish Salmon (special), the short ribs, and the filet mignon. Their bread is amazing, too.
My family has been coming here for many, many years. The food is always good, as is the service. I particularly like their tortellini, but its all delicious. Its not haute cuisine, just honest down to earth italian cooking. I highly recommend it.
We shared a chopped salad and boulevard pizza. The salad was fresh and the pizza had plenty of toppings including pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, mushrooms and peppers. We ended with a refreshing brownie sundae. Very good meal with friendly servers
Excellent place for dinner. We had the fish grill and pet to pollo. Both entrees were delicious. We finished off with dolce tosc. Patio is real nice to sit and converse.
The Best local Italian take out food. Roast Beef sandwich, lasagne and meat balls are amazing. Their salad selections are great.
One of my favorite restaurants in Pasadena. Fabulous cioppino and penne arrabiata. Make sure you leave room for dessert!
Awesome food. Service is fast and food has large portion enough for two people. I will definitely recommend it.
