If you like your movie experience to be night club meets romantic restaurant meets first class flight, this place is for you. When you buy your overpriced ticket ($22 ouch!) and head downstairs it feels like you're descending into one of those underground night clubs where all the women are wearing too much makeup and all the guys are on the prowl. Fortunately, the patrons of Gold Class aren't nearly as awful as those you see in that type of club. The attentive staff will seat you in the lounge area while you order overpriced drinks and food. The cocktails tend to be poorly mixed so I would recommend wine or beer if you want a drink here. The food is OK, but nothing special and as far as I can tell you can't get the standard movie treats, which always makes me miss popcorn terribly. The nice thing is, you can have your food brought to your seat in the theater, and if you need a top up on your drink or an extra little snack, there's a buzzer you can press to call a waitress to your seat. By far the best part about Gold Class is the seats, which are full on reclining loungers with enough space for you to stretch out and feel like you're all alone with your companion in your private movie theater. Just don't go see a boring movie there or you'll be sound asleep before the first act is over!
It may have the name "Arclight" but this is just the old Pacific Theaters in Arclight clothing. Yes, they put in a tiny gift shop and a little cafe, but some of the staff are still kind of unpleasant (unlike the Hollywood Arclight) and most of the theaters are small. The worst part is the customers though. It's almost impossible to go see a movie here without having someone near you talking through the whole thing. Still, it's far better and cleaner than the Llammle's down the street.
Movies, we all love to be at the movies. What better place than Academy 6 Cinemas? I love this movie theater because it has great service, it's clean, super affordable and it's just fun to be there. I highly recommend this cinema. I can't wait until the weekend to go and catch me a movie. See you at the movies! -
Kori Awesome. Service and food great, Gold Class to The iPic Theater transition was seamless, for me they still had all of my information. I have been patronizing since the grand opening. Thank you for SMILE(ing) DA Johnson SMILELaDy.org Movie Attended : Alex Cross Opening Day
Large screens with clear images the movie really comes alive at this threater. Very cheap tickets just $2 befor 6pm and $3 after 6pm. And the Date Night deal on Wensdays is just $10 for 2 popcorn 2 drinks and 2 tickets perfect bargain for a perfect night. I always enjoy me times here
One of the best movie theaters out there. I have been coming here since they opened. Love the recline chair, pillow and blanket. One side of the recline chair arm can be opened and store your purse and belonging, just don't forget before you leave. Pop corn comes with the ticket.
Definitely needs to be refurbished but don't lose the atmosphere!! Didn't know on way in that there was an elevator but found out later. This is good for next time. Very reasonable rates. 2 adults and 1 child during the day for less than one adult at most other theaters.
This is your typical ArcLight in a mall, but it does have a cafe/bar in the lobby and a gift shop. We always pre-purchase our tickets to avoid lines and secure better seats. Parking can be touch in Paseo Colorado on weekends, but fine during on week nights.
I do like the fact that it has a café/bar in the lobby and is conveniently located next to a number of eating locations. The downside at the moment is parking since there's construction occurring. Still worth the visit!
I give it four stars because you simply cannot beat the prices for movies or the candy/popcorn. Plus, free parking in the back lot. However, the venue could use some updating. It's a trade-off.
