This groomer is not affiliated with the For Paws Only in Belpre, Ohio which has been in business since 1985 and has established itself on professionalism, quality and reliability. This groomer needs to choose another name rather than confuse consumers and assume affiliation with an existing and successful business. Their substandard reputation is affecting my groomers business.
Have been taking my dogs to Sherry for a few years she was at another establishment , She was always good The last time I took 2 dogs to her she cut the one and left cut marks all over him. it seems they all have come home itching from this place.
I used this groomer for about 6 months. We had regular appointments set up for every 3 weeks. All she had to do was give him a bath and trim his nails. Most of the time, his nails didn't seem to be trimmed, or they had really sharp corners. She never spent more than 15 minutes with him, and charged $25- $30, depending on whether or not she cut his nails, and I always tipped her $5. That's an easy $30- $35 for just 15 minutes of time spent. After she went on maternity leave, she came back twice, then said she would only be coming to our area one or two days a week, and that she would let me know what days she would be coming so we could schedule. I never heard from her again. I was really loyal, and made sure to recommend everybody with a pet to her. If she doesn't value loyal clients, then who does she value?
Just had my mini schaunzer groomed. Sherry was excellent. I will now only be bringing my dog to her. Very clean establishment, very caring groomers.
I've used this service twice, to have my dog's nails done. Since I don't have a car, I was quite happy to find out about a mobile groomer. The lady was very nice, but she didn't trim the nails enough, when I asked her to trim them more, she wouldn't. It's $10 per dog, which is the same at the vet, plus to tip makes it more expensive. Easier and cheaper to have a neighbor take us to the vet.
We recently used them for our dog's grooming (bath and nails), and was not impressed. They were running late, which happens, but my dog was only in the truck for 10 minutes from the time they arrived to when I wrote out the check. His coat still had some unclean spots on it, and his nails barely looked trimmed. He was recently to the vet and said that the nails didn't even look like they were trimmed (the vet had to do another nail trim 2 weeks after the supposed trim). He came back in the house soaking wet, and had that wet dog smell for several hours. Honestly, I do a better job myself. He does not look like he just received a bath. I typically don't write reviews like this, but felt compelled becasue of how unhappy I am with the service. I am also having to take him to the vet this afternoon because it looks like he now has a skin infection. Hmpf.
