I can't tell you how many nail salons I've visited around San Antonio. Some were fair, others...horrible. I gave Hn Nails a try and spoke to the owners, Han and Sam. They told me to come in and take a look at the environment before I had anything done. When I walked in, I was shocked. The front looked like a Day Spa. All of the employees are very nice and make sure every experience you have inside their salon is nothing but the best. Hn Nails is so clean and sanitary that it makes you question other places you've been. When you walk in, it doesn't have that "nail salon" smell... you know...the one that leaves you dizzy when you leave. Most shops don't clean out the filters of the pedicure tubs -one of the many disgusting truths you may or may not know- so you end up getting your feet done in someone's elses "leftovers." Here, you can watch them literally pull the filter apart and disinfect the tub evey time. They sanitize every tool and towel they use on you. To top off the experience...THEY TAKE THEIR TIME!!! They aren't concerned with how many customer's they can get in and out within an hour, but rather, ensure each customer they see receives the quality of work that they pay for. The best pediucure I ever had took 1 1/2 hour. Of course, it was my first time here at Hn Nails. I wouldn't suggest any other place in San Antonio. There isn't one negative thing that I could say about this place. If you want the best of the best without paying hundreds of dollars... I beg you to spare your time and trouble... just go to Hn Nails. They are so friendly and knowledable about every aspect that goes on in their salon and you won't be disappoint... I PROMISE!
36. Nails Inc
I STARTED GOING TO NAILS, INC. ABOUT A YEAR AGO, AFTER GOING TO OTHER SALONS AND GETTING A NAIL FUNGUS UNDER MY NAILS. THE OWNER DAWN IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT HER BUSINESS AND IS AN EXTREMELY NICE PERSON. SHE HELPED ME GET RID OF THE FUNGUS, AND SHE CARES MORE ABOUT MY COMFORT, THAN ABOUT M…
40. Van's Nails
This place was recommended to me by a friend and I was really pleased with the service. I went in as a walk in and they accommodated me and I was able to be seen. This was a perfect first experience here, but I do recommend that you call to make an appointment to make things easier!!
46. N Nail
I have been going to N Nail for umm.. 4 and 1/2 years now. My nail "EXPERT" is Hannah and she is amazing! I am a cosmetologist myself(but i do hair), so i know the technical aspect of nails and believe me she is an expert! She is the only person i have found that can do "smile li…
I've been to a lot of nail salons. I wore nails for over twenty years, and then five years ago I developed an allergic reaction. So, I tried to find a salon that had quality technicians AND which used quality products. I was so frustrated that I gave up my nails for five years opting instead for a plain manicure. It was OK, but I had to have one every week to maintain a fresh look. And, then one morning sitting at my computer I decided to "Google" it. After all, the computer finds everything else. I typed in, "The best nail salon in San Antonio, TX", and to my great surprise it pulled up H N Nails. I read reviews from people who were specific about their pink and white nails that Honnie did for them. So, I thought why not, and I called and asked for an appointment with her. I had to wait a couple of days to get an appointment with "Honnie" but remember, the good things in life or worth waiting for ... still, for two days I thought (even enroute to the salon which is across town from my home) this is too good to be true. I chided my self thinking it can't be this easy. BOY, was I WRONG. I've had my nails for over a week and they look like they were done yesterday! And, to top it all off the evening at H N Nails was FUN! I met Honnie, her husband, sister, and all the rest. They were friendly, polite and the service was great, but best of all my manicure with Tiffany and my pink and white nails were FABULOUS. Trust me, I actually found the salon with QUALITY TECHNICIANS AND QUALITY PRODUCTS. I am happy to report it really is the BEST NAIL SALON IN THE ALAMO CITY!
I found out about this place from other Yelpers, and boy am I happy that I took their advice. This place is super convenient. I was oblivious to it's existence even though I go to the Dezevala & IH 10 almost every week, but I never think of moseying on over to the University Square (where this little slice of self indulgent heaven is). They accept walk ins which is great because I am horrible at calling ahead when I'm in dire need of a mani/pedi. On the day that I went there was a little bit of a wait but nothing horrible granted that it was a Saturday afternoon and my mom and I were walk-ins. The pedicure was nice and relaxing and although we were originally just going to get pedis we decided to splurge and also try out their shellac nail polish for manis as well. I am officially in love with shellac. They have a ton of colors and walk you through the process if you've never had it done before which is nice. I've had acrylics and I hated how they tore up my nails, with shellac I get the look of the acrylics without having to go through all the pain and hassle of filling them every 2 weeks. PLUS they don't chip! I work in the medical field and am always washing my hands so regular nail polish only lasts 2 days if I'm lucky, so this is my new obsession...and my favorite place to get my fix! I get the french tips in the shellac polish and it runs roughly $30,with mani $40 before tip (for 1 solid color I think I was quoted around $25, with mani $35). I loved this place! they have about 11 techs, they all friendly and helpful. I am highly recommend this place to every one I know
I have been going to Kimmy's for two years and have always had the best service and experience. Every time I go, my boyfriend and I are greeted kindly and the staff hurries to find two pedicure chairs together. (Often times we have to wait a little bit because they are so busy.) We always bring wine and one time we brought a corked bottle instead of our normal New Zealand screw top. They didn't have a corkscrew and went to borrow one from the bar. The next time we came in Kimmy and her sister brought me the corkscrew they had bought just because of our last visit. That is tailored customer service at its finest! We always get the OPI Raw Pedicure + my shellac + his manicure. I nor he, have never had a bad experience in more than 24 visits. On top of the consistent superior quality and customer service, I want to acknowledge that this is a small, women owned business. They work long hours and put everything in to making sure that their customers are taken care of. The "child" referenced in a previous review is Kimmy's nephew. It's a family ran business and he helps his family when needed. Instilling a good work ethic and professionalism is a disservice? To your future? I would highly recommend Kimmy's Nail Salon and have. Every friend, family number and acquaintance that has asked me where I get my nails done has gone to and had a great experience.
PERFECTION! If that's what you're looking for, H N Nails is the place. I have been to numerous nail salons trying to find someone that would meet my standards. I'm seriously OCD about my nails, to the point of looking at them with a lighted magnifying glass. I've had bubbles underneath, they're too thick, I can just pop them off, etc. You name it, I've tried it. My natural nails are paper thin and misshapen, which adds to the difficulty of getting good artificial nails. I've been reading about H N Nails and, frankly, was trying to find somewhere less expensive. Well, I got what I paid for. Yesterday was my first visit to H N Nails, and I was extremely impressed. Everyone was so nice and attentive. I live about 40 miles north of San Antonio and I H-A-T-E STONE OAK. Nonetheless, I am an H N Nails customer for life. Han applied my Solar nails, explaining everything as she went along. It took a couple of hours, because of her attention to detail. Numerous times Sammy and Han told me to make sure to let them know if my nails begin to give me any trouble, because they want to fix them, learn what caused the issue, and make it right. So, again, if you're like me (extremely particular), save yourself time, money and pain (you know those salons that leave your fingers bleeding?) and just go to H N Nails. They are pricey, but the end result is so worth it.
First time here at asiana nails lounge. Very nice quick service. I say down to get my nails done and Cody asked what I wanted done. I told him full set with a beautiful pinkish red nail polish. He recommended the shellac and I told him no thank you. After that he became really irritated and started complaining about how I should have a shellac color instead of the one I chose. I told him I like to change my color often on nails that's why I prefer mail polish he started complaining again that no one uses nail polish anymore. If that's true why do you all have a display in the front full of polishes I thought to myself. I told him maybe next time. He started complaining again. Omg by the run time of his complaints I was tired I told him fine just do the shellac then he stoped complaining. I was never asked once by Cody if I wanted a drink but everyone around me was given one. He had a bad attitude and bad customer service. I'll never go their again. Oh and I almost forgot and after all that he tells me you need to leave a top how much are you giving me. Really ..... Never agsin
I have been getting my nails done since I was 15 years old. Always a cycle back and forth new set, fills, take off, let grow, and Tips put on again. I'm sure most of you go through the same thing! 4months ago I took my Tips off. My nails were so thin and ruined underneath I was trying to nurse them back to health and just get them painted. ONE PROBLEM! The Polish with out tips would only last a few days. leaving my nails looking not kept and trashy UNTIL! H&N NAILS introduced me to the OPI GEL!!! OMG LET MY TELL YOU!!! THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!! MY POLISH HAS STAYED ON FOR 3WEEKS WITH ZERO CHIP!! MY POLISH AND MY WEAK NAILS WITH HELD LAKE TRAVIS ON TH BOAT ALL WEEKEND, YARD WORK, CLEANING MY HOUSE TOP TO BOTTOM!!! AND THE BOAT AGAIN THIS WEEKEND. I HAVE SENT OVER 5 OF MY CLOSE GIRLFRIEND TO H&N THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING! THIS IS THE BEST DISCOVERY EVER SO AS A REVIEW TO THEM EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. IF YOU HAVE READ THIS, DON'T WASTE ANYMORE TIME EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOUR SELF!
I came as a walk in on Friday morning around 10am. I was taken back immediately. I requested a pedicure and a manicure with gel. The manager showed me in and asked if I wanted my toes to match my nails, and since I did, he directed me to the right set of gel polishes that would work. They have a great selection of gel colors. I opted for the Deluxe Spa pedicure which included a sugar scrub and softening mask. The massage was wonderful. He really took the time to work the muscles and pressure points. I had to stop reading my book and close my eyes it felt so good. My toe nails came out wonderfully. A beautiful job caring for the cuticles and the polish job was perfect. All the while, he was constantly checking that everything was alright and that I was comfortable and relaxed. Christy did my manicure/gels. She was very detail oriented and made sure the gel process was perfect. I think these are the best shaped nails I've ever had done. All in all, this was a great experience, and I will definitely be returning. Thank you HN Nails!
I moved to San Antonio a couple years ago and have been using HN Nails ever since. Everyone from owners to technicians is always so welcoming from the moment you walk in and they know us regulars by our names. Their service is second to none and it is so nice to know I am in good hands every time I walk in that door. I am blessed with strong and thick nails so my favorite service is gel nails. The beauty of gel nail is that it dries in no time and lasts 2 – 3 weeks. I hardly ever went back to acrylic or regular nails since I was introduced to gel nail last spring. Yes, it is pricey but worth every penny. I recommend to asking for Wendy and booking her ahead of time. She is in high demands from customers and she always delivers no matter what service (Gel, French Gel, Design, Acrylic, Pedicure and Wax) I ask for. All the care and quality work she provides is absolutely impeccable. I always leave with fantastic nails and smile on my face… I cannot help strangers crave about my nails.
I am new to San Antonio, and I was looking for a great place to do my nails. My sisters co-worker told me about Regal Nails and said ask for Tina, so I did and she was the nicest lady and funny too. Her and her husband Kevin do a great job. I am a very picky person when it comes to my nails and toes, she took her time and did a fabulous job. I went to another nail shop thinking oh its just a fill- in well I drive the distance to go see Tina now and I highly recommend her to anyone....she is pregnate at the time now so she will be having her baby next month in august so if you go see her go soon....you wont be disappointed at all and its located in a walmart which we weird to me since back home in Detroit there wasnt nothing like that there...haha now i spend more money cus I'm already in Walmart...sometimes it works out cus i dont have to wait sitting i can go shopping if needed to....hope if you go you like it as much as i did...
