I don't recommend it. Not great food.

Sorry to say, this place does not deliver on expectations as far as the food goes. They have a nice sounding menu but the food was not up to par. The onion rings and the baked macaroni & cheese appetizers were good though.

We live here in Park City, and no matter who we entertain, friends or business associates ZOOM always delivers.... great inventive menu with great American classics, food quality is very high, service is good with servers that know what they are talking about....I always choose the ""special"". My grandma used to live upstairs when it was a train depot, so we love to eat upstairs... kid's have plenty to choose from, and even sophisticated palette's will be satisfied. It is well worth the wait, look at the cool pictures of Redford and have a great meal and experience...

Best there is in Park City

I have been going to Zooms since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is always prepared to a high standard. The ambiance is fun, the service professional, and most importantly you feel like you got value for you money.

Zoom has good service and ambiance, but the food was below average

My wife and I dropped $200 at Zoom this weekend. We ordered a nice bottle of champagne, appetizers, entrees and dessert.

The service and ambiance was good, but the food was below average - especially for the price. I ordered a filet mignon - (medium) and it came out well done. The potato's lacked flavor too. It's the first time I've spent that much at a restaurant and left food on my plate.

My wife didn't care for the ravioli. It came out overcooked and flavorless.

All around my favorite spot in PC

Food, comfort, services, value and general enjoyment I would pick Zoom if I had to chose one restaurant. I've only eaten here twice now, but have never had any problems and the groups I've been with have all generally agreed that the food and service were superb.

Decent Food, a little overpriced for the ambience

I visited Zoom with a client during Sundance '08. We had heard good things about the restaurant, and decided to stop by on a whim. We were greeted warmly, and were informed that there would be a 20 minute wait (very typical for a lunchtime walk-in during lunch this time of year). The service was friendly while we waited, and we were soon seated in a corner booth. Our waitress was a lovely but very clueless girl, and were she not so amusing I'm afraid we would have had a miserable experience as far as service was concerned for the remainder of our meal.
We ordered the spicy buffalo onion rings, and were unimpressed. No one (there were 4 of us) could detect any hint of 1)spiciness or 2)""buffalo"" flavor. Though they were bland, they were served hot and the bleu-cheese dip was very good. One of our party had the Ham sandwich, and indicated that it wasn't anything to write home about. I had the Saffron Scented Creamy Risotto, and enjoyed it thoroughly. In fact, it was shared by all of us, as it was the most popular dish on this particular visit. It was just what it purported to be: creamy, saffron-""scented"" and aged balsamic reduction with vegetables. We didn't spring for dessert, as we had dinner reservations. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and enjoyed my lunch, but am unlikely to return with so many fantastic restaurants in Park City.

Comforting comfort food

One of the local tourist pamplets listed Zoom as the place rated ""best burger"" so it was an easy decision when my husband expressed his desire for a burger one evening. We were seated in the dining room where the grill area is in open view and initally it felt quite warm but once we asked our server if the temperature could be adjusted it was fine. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads and entrees. While my husband's decision for the burger was a done deal, I pondered the ribs or pasta. Our server asked which I would most likely not make at home which was the ribs so I settled on that. My husband also expressed an interest in a side of mac & cheese to share which I certainly did not refuse. We split a salad that had a tasty gorgonzola dressing to start. Before long our entrees arrived. The burger was huge (served with hand cut fries) and my half slab of ribs covered the plate. We traded samples of each others meals and were both very happy with our choices. The burger was moist and not dense like some and my ribs were some of the best I have ever had. The sauce had the right balance of sweet and spicy. You know, besides being a great looking leading man and director, this Bob Redford guy has it goin' on at Zoom (guess you can figure out how the place got its name)! Would absolutely come back and already craving those ribs!

Ok food, overpriced

2 salads, 2 main course, 2 desserts (no drinks) we got out at $80 something. Caesar salads were..average. The half roasted chicken left a lot to be desired. The potatoes had no seasoning whatsoever and the 'gravy' was more of a skimpy light reduction rather than a gravy. My husbands ham and swiss sandwich and fries was way better than mine. Dessert was light, the pumpkin mousse was good but only for the first few spoonfuls. Overall the food wasn't bad, but wasn't worth the price tag. We were sat upstairs which became a little loud after other tables were sat but when we left (7:30) the two downstairs rooms were ROARING. We were so glad that we were upstairs because the noise was just overwhelming downstairs. Thanks Zoom but we'll keep looking.

Hard to Find but Give it A Try!

Great food, but a bit pricey. I went for my birthday and I'm glad I made reservations in advance! The place was filled on a Monday night! Try to get seating upstairs, and Order the Steak. Service IS slow but not too bad. Great wine selection!
The place is hard to find on the street, and of course Parking is always a hassle!
Stay away from the Blondie. It was hard and not tasty at all!

Don't Bother Making Reservations!

The hostess, ""Paris"" told us that she couldn't find our reservation, though the hotel we are staying at gave us a confirmation number! She literally lost our reservation and was RUDE about it - she pushed aside to deal with other people, then when she saw we weren't push-overs, she hastily sat us at the WORST TABLE IN THE ENTIRE place - we were right infront of the door so whenever it opened a cold gust of air nearly blew us over. We ate with our ski jackets on we were so cold!

Despite the hostess' incompetence, the food was mediocre at best. Portions are big. That's about all I can say.

Terrible Service

Our server acted like we were bothering her by being there. Very rude, and so slow. It took forever just to get a soft drink. I ordered fish tacos and I've had better at fast food joints. Would not recommend.

Consistent Upscale Comfort Food

I've been going to Zoom for years and can say that it is consistently good. The lunch menu has a little bit for everyone with my personal favorite being the burger and homemade fries. I also recommend the mac and cheese on the side. Much better than what mom can make. For dinner, you can't go wrong with the ribs or the halibut. The specials are always very good. Wine list is a Sundance private label from various vineyards on the west coast. The Chardonnay is what most of my friends love. Decor is very good especially in the summer with quite possible the best outdoor patio in Utah.

Very Nice

I brought out of town guests to Zoom for dinner on 2/26/03 and we were not disappointed. The menu was well varied, and I would say that all of our selections were very good to excellent. The grouper special and pork chops were both especially good. The Brownie with homemade peanut butter ice cream was out of this world! Really pleasant experience: I'll certainly return soon. On the con side, the hard surfaces make for a noisy environment when full, as it was that night. Service was a bit slow, but not a problem for us, as our waiter was very knowledgeable. The wine list is pricey, but again, not a problem for us as we chose cocktails. Prices are fair for Park City. Recommend!

Where's Robert

Zoom is a good restaurant with a good if limited menu. The outdoor patio, when open, is very nice. The south dining room is preferred, because the smoke and smells from the open grill, while not unpleasant, detract from conversation. The wine list has improved but still has a way to go. We enjoy Zoom about 10 or 12 times a year. It's clearly in the top 20.

Slow Service, Bad Attitudes

I've been there several time and the service is always bad. The waiters pretend like they really aren't waiters and they come to work just find out where the parties are later that night. And if you ask to talk to a manager they aren't any different.
