We had 5 adults in our party and all of us loved our food! The duck was amazing, the black code was perfect, the seared ahi was ultra fresh and the chicken was moist and tender. We cleared our plates! They had the best pomegranate mojito and the Wandering Poet sake was absolutely delicious! While our meal tended to be on the pricier side, it was not unreasonable for the level of quality of food and service we received.
Our tab, with appetizers, drinks, entrees, and coffee was roughly $75 per person. I've dined at many nice restaurants throughout the US and this restaurant is definitely up there with the best of them!
To top our great experience, I accidently left my iphone at the restaurant and the bus boy found it and returned it to me!

Went with a large group during the Sundance Film Festival, which is admittedly a busy time. However because of the size of our group (10ppl), we were told they couldn't seat us until 10pm. When we arrived, we were forced to wait for over an hour, with no explaination, no apology, and little concern. We found it rude and ridiculous that we would be given a reservation when there is no way they could have turned a table to seat us in time. A good restaurant knows it's floor, and does not accept reservations when it cannot accomodate people simply because they are being greedy. At this time of night patrons are also left with no other options, which adds to their frustration. When we were finally sat (and the rest of the restaurant was nearly completely empty) the servers were nice and friendly, but the food was mediocre and ridiculously expensive. After coming to Sundance for three years running myself and colleagues will never be dining here again, and will warn people against wasting their time standing in a cramped hallway longingly staring at other people's food.

We received rave reviews from friends (both visitors and residents) so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived at the hostess desk, (8:45 on a Friday evening) we were told they were booked but to come back in 15 minutes. We decided to go across the street for a drink while we waited (Wahso has no bar but they do serve cocktails with dinner). In hindsight, we should not have bothered to come back but we did. When we came back, there were at least 3 open tables in the dining room so not sure where all those reservations went. Anyway, my husband prepared me for the pricey entrees after taking a peek at the menu when we were at the host desk so I pondered the choices and decided on the wok seared lamb. My husband opted for the duck. While we waited we had an order of dumplings ($17 for 5 of them) which were okay. The deal of the night was their saketini's which were $2.00 so we each ordered one. We ordered wine by the glass to go with our dinner. My husband was having a hard time deciding between a domestic Pinot Noir or a French version so the waiter offered to bring him a sample of each. This is certainly not unusual but at the end of the evening when we got the check, we were shocked to see that there was a charge of $.50 for two wine samples at a quarter a piece. I have to say I was mortified. We have traveled extensively both in the US and Europe and never in my life have I ever been charged for a wine sample. I guess it was a good thing he finished them so he got his money's worth. My husband was concerned about whether my choice of entree was smart since I am never happy with any lamb I have gotten in a restaurant (either overdone or muttoney) but surprisingly it was quite good and generous portion. My husbands duck was okay but we've had better. It is a very pretty restaurant and certainly scores points for that and might be okay for a special occassion night out but better places can be found within a short walk.

It's a lovely restaurant with fabulous service & great presentation but the food doesn't merit their high ratings. We've had better choices and better flavors at other restaurants. I must say the coconut creme brulee dessert was the most beautifully presented and delicious desserts we've ever had though. Very creative!!!

In all candor, I can't imagine how others have rated this place highly. It's possible we caught them on a bad night, but the food was seriously lacking. We had 5 adults in our party and the restaurant was crowded and very busy. We ordered the potsickers, which were recommended by the waiter, who was wonderful. We all found the chewy and with meager filling. This was supposed to be one of their specialties. We went on to order the ""Crispy Duck"", which was not crispy and was served with a rather bland sauce which was not very complimentary to the flavor of the duck. We also order the Tandori Chicken, which was just not very flavorful and the Kobe Beef lettuce wraps which we rated a 6 out of 10. The highlight of the dishes was the tuna, which was very high quality and served is a pleasing style... but again, this could have been complimented with a more interesting sauce - especially in a ""fusion"" restaurant. Like others have mentioned, the prices are very high - average entre is $45 and the rather poor dumplings were $17. Overall, I believe there are better choices in the area.

I have been to Wahso twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The private booths are perfect for a romantic evening and the hostess was accomodating in our last minute request for a table change to a booth. Although there is only one vegetarian entree, it is excellent and provides a nice selection of tastes. The server was knowledable about the menu and very friendly, even after we stayed past closing.

A ""fixed price"" dinner for 2 people, drinks and dessert not included, came out to be $290. My husband and I don't have a problem with that if the food is worth it. But the evening at Wahso was not worth leaving the house for. It's pretty hard to mess up chicken, yet the chicken I was served was the worst I have EVER eaten, it was tough and tasted very funky. The potatoes with it seemed like they were left over from someone else's plate, only from the night before. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The quality of the rest of the ingredients (salads, appetizers, soup...) was pitiful. Nothing was fresh, it was cheap produce, even the gorgonzola cheese in the salad was of the poorest quality. This place is a total miss. Not sure how much longer they'll be able to pull this one off!

Our experience was dreadful for several reasons. A party had the nerve to bring six children, ranging in ages from 6-12. They were screaming, running around the table, etc. We asked the table to keep it down. We got a stare and no consideration. We had to ask the hostess to ask them to keep it down twice. The service was awful. We had to ask for refills on water. We had a beverage spilt on us. The beverage that was spilt took 20 minutes to get. We were never asked how our food was once it arrived, mind you, these are $40-70 entrees. Plus, since we were a party of six, the gratuity was 20 percent. We got crappy service because she knew she was guaranteed 20 percent. The food was good, but I can't wait to get back to my Chicago restaurants where excellent service matters.

When I travel to PC, I will always dine at Wahso. The French/Asian Fusion cuisine is extremely good, and the service is top notch. I will always start with a sampler of appetizers to share, followed by one of their specials or the Filet. I have never been disappointed! My hats off to Bill White & John Murko, and his crew.
