As a gift this recent valentine's day I got 2 tickets to the Wailers for my husband. I've never been a reggae fan but he is so I thought I'd take one for the team. Once the tickets were purchased I found terrible reviews here for Harry O's and became concerned that I'd made a big mistake. By the show date T and I both decided, what the hell, let's give it a go. I'm so glad we did. Yes, there was a short wait outside in the cold but they got us in as quickly as they could. With the order of our first drink we found ""Mik"" to be very friendly and very attentive. Our observations of the rest of the bar staff was warm and not confrontational at all. I prefer listening to bands in an arena setting but wasn't terribly bothered by the other patrons stepping on me or being shoved into us. I definitely recommend this club and wish to add a thank you to ""Mik"" for his service and smile.

After winning some tickets on the radio to go see Joan Jett and the Blackhearts I was excited to go to park city's Sundance and see a great artist. Only problem was that this concert was at a dump called Harry O's. I would recommend coming here if you want to get pushed around by BS security for doing nothing. Oh yeah, I’m sure you'll also love that every 30 seconds you're told to move to a different spot around the floor even though there is no room. A friend and I were told for the 10th time to move again and away from the bar right after spending about 30-40 bucks each on drinks and not even getting started with our new ones. Apparently guys aren't welcome around the bar however girls with no intention to spend were welcome with no problem. There is no re entry so sorry for all of you smokers. After the 3rd or 4th song we decided to leave after being completely annoyed by the employees and security. Everyone warned me about Harry O's but being a positive person I decided to try it and I’m bummed I did. Thank god I didn't have to pay for the tickets otherwise this review would be much worse. All said and done I would never in my life time recommend that you come here or pay to visit. This place gives a bad rep on Utah for all of those visiting.

Harry O's has awful security, Poor VIP area for the price. The positives are the house DJ Brisk, Sound system, dance floor is relatively large and the stage is a good size. Love the VIP loft and bar but they need more tables and seating up there. Overall Harry O's reminds me of a broke version of LAX in Las Vegas, but this is Utah so it's the best we got!

I never write reviews but this place was running such a racket I had to. We bought 100 dollar concert tickets to see The Cult. Took the shuttle like the park city website suggested and got there at 8pm like the tickets said. They would not even open the doors until 9 and it was freezing outside. Then they let people in 1 and 2 at a time for hours. We got in and wanted a seat so they charged us an extra 200 dollars for a VIP seat which was a roped off area to the side. ( we knew it was a rip off but hey, we wanted to see the show and not stand for 3 hrs. ) The Cult did not come on until 11.45 pm. The last shuttle left at 12:05 so we had to take a taxi the 6 miles down for 25.00. They ripped you off everytime you turn around and I hear that is ""just how they do things."" I call it a Sleazy way to do business and they should be shut down. Harry o's = world famous for sleaze! This was during the Sundance Film festival and the whole city is taking advantage of everyone. No one will talk to you unless you pay them and it is a bunch of self important people with clipboards trying to make a fast buck. My first and last trip to Sundance and Harry o's.

The reviews are pretty harsh and some very exaggerated. UT is not known for good clubs, at least dance clubs. Most of the clubs in SLC are full of trash, staff and bouncers are a bunch of idiots. We love to party and dance, Harryos is by far the best place in UT to do so. I have never been treated poorly at the door. Don't be a punk and they will treat you just fine. Don't expect them to be your best friend. These guys deal with a lot of idiots during the night. So forgive them if they check you ID and send you on your way.
Moving to the bartenders. I have only had one treat me poorly but I don't think he is there anymore. They are quick with the drinks. Like normal park city prices are higher then in SLC. Usually 5 tall drinks with Belvedere vodka and side car run about $55. (Yes, they still do sidecars but more in a side drink style. Same price though).
The sound system is awesome DJ Brisk on Sat nights really gets that place going. The dance floor IS NOT all VIP. A portion of it is but still plenty of room to dance and have a good time. Pretty big place but its true unless VIP nowhere to sit. This being the nature of most clubs this style. In Vegas not VIP, nowhere to sit. Manhattan, LA, Miami, same story. You want to sit and talk go to a lounge.
As far as the crowd goes, over the winter its a different crowd every night. You'll have your usual locals, but there are so many people in town skiing. You want to dance and unwind after a day on the slopes go to Harryos. Over the summer its a different story. Fri nights are usually dead, but they get some great headliners in on Fridays. Don't expect them to come on stage until at least 11:30. Sat nights are usually the night to go over the summer.
VIP service is reasonable for Utah. Worth it if you want to be treated like a king for the night.
Harryos is full of beautiful people and great music. Worth the drive up from SLC, Prov, or Ogd. If you're in town and want to meet people. Check it out most def.

Went to Harry O's on a Saturday night. $10 cover charge for men, free for women. Expected to sit down and have a few drinks, but found out you have to pay money to sit. If you're willing to drop a few hundred dollars on a VIP table you can sit, otherwise, forget about it.

This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen.... A VIP only dancefloor!! HAHAHAHAHAAA!! WOW!! No where to sit either. If you don't set something up days in advance you are out of luck. Even with 3 hott girls I could get no seating. We left and went down to Mynt Lounge in SLC... much better space for a night out. THESE GUYS NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER!! Who is managing this place? WTF?!

My friends and I visited Harry O's recently for ladies night. Boy, was I glad we got in free! The place definitely has potential, buy honestly, V.I.P seating in the middle of the dance floor? Who's ridiculous idea was that? Speaking of which, don't expect to be able to sit and socialize/drink with your friends unless you have paid for special seating. There is no, I repeat NO, sitting down otherwise. Hard to believe, yet true. We asked. Laaaaaame!! Not exactly my crowd, either. Rather on the trashy side. One woman had unbuttoned her date's shirt and was sucking on his chest right there on the dance floor. (Or at least the space between couches that passes for a dance floor) I've never seen so many fake body parts in one place in my life. But if that's your thing, then this is the place for you. Since it was free, no big deal. If we'd have paid, I'd have been angry. Won't be going back, even for free, unless I hear changes have been made.

I've lived in Utah all my life and have been clubbing here for 15 years. If it weren't for the 2002 Winter Olympics this place wouldn't be on the map. Don't expect to get your moneys worth to see top DJs play for 30 minutes who are just passing by Utah, or experience a ""World Famous"" nightclub.
If tickets are gone and you don't feel like freezing on Main street like a homeless person consider yourself saved. The staff has attitude and being over crowded with the counterfeit crowd is anything but cool.
You would think out of all the new multiple owners that someone would get things right. But alas, save your gas and cash for a parking place in Salt Lake.

Don't expect much from this overhyped place, you will seriously leave hoping it was a nightmare but in the end, it wasn't. Bad setup, awful bouncers, incredibly inapt and ignorant staff, be warned when you leave Harry O's you WILL have been to hell and back as it relates to service and experience.

The owners (and regardless of what you may of heard there are like 12 - NOT 1 - sorry D) should hire the security guards who perform cavity searches at the airport so they have a friendlier staff. There's one female bartender who's awesome the everyone else has the personality of Eminem on steroids. The music isn't that great & whatever you do DON'T make the mistake of going in on a Friday LAME LAME LAME.

Bring a LOT of dollars, a LOT of attitude, and comfortable shoes if you go to Harry O's. Drinks are overpriced and weak, the black-suited bouncers treat you like dirt, and there is NO seating unless you are willing to fork over big bucks for VIP seating.

The staff is rude (bartenders, door guys, owners, cocktails, you name it). They treat you like dirt unless you pay for a table and bottle service. This is Utah, not Vegas. I'm not paying $300 to sit down and share one bottle of overpriced mid-grade champagne. Speaking of overpriced... 3 drinks will cost you $40-50. Again, this is UTAH, not Vegas. At least in Vegas you get your moneys worth. The crowd is pretentious - filled with pretend-to-be-rich wannabe types who are so obviously coked out it's asinine, and pooled their money together to afford one booth for all 20 of them to squeeze into. The dance floor is extinct. They've replaced it with even more tables/booths. So, if you like to dance, you're forced to do it in the aisle between the bar and the bathrooms. And there's definitely a lack of air conditioning. It's a complete sauna in there. Pretty miserable. And you can't go outside to cool off. No reentry. This club is awful, lousy, etc. I'd recommend you go up the street to the Sidecar. Had a BLAST there! Great live music, reasonably priced drinks, chill crowd and room to dance. SO much more fun.

During our visit in Salt Lake City we also visited the Harry O's club in Park City. The famous DJ Tiesto was playing there, we know him from Europe and this was a good opportunity to see him again.
We checked the Harry O's web, where under ""Fashion"" we read: ?Classy Nightclub Attire?, being from Europe that was no problem for us, because we always dress up going out clubbing.
Our local friends told us the club is really nice and cool and and and.
The ticket said the door opens at 8pm, around 9:30 there was a very long line, anyway we had a few drinks next door hoping the line will get smaller soon, well around 10:30 we were standing in the line and it started raining, in no time there was a downpour with thunders. There were more than 50 people outside; do you guys think they did let us in? NO, they didn?t!!!
They had one (!) guy at the door checking the ID and one lady sitting there checking the tickets like they have all the time in the world....
Well finally we made it inside, some local DJ was playing, so we went straight to the bar, my gin & tonic was so awful tasting that after the first sip I got rid off it.
I was so disappointed from the place!
The place in general gave us a messy impression, it was very crowded, with very little space left to dance, it was too hot, (was the A/C broken?), and most people were not in a ""classy nightclub attire""
Once Tiesto started playing we got into better mood and did survived with bottled beer until the end (2am).
This club is world famous??? For what???
It's absolutely not comparable with better nightclubs in California, Florida or Europe (and believe me we have seen many clubs). In the better clubs all people do dress up, you get great drinks and also people don't throw empty cups and water bottles on the floor, later on it really looked like a pig stall.... (... or is it the ""Wild West"" style?...)
What a disappointment!!!

This bar is a joke. The high rating has to be from the staff trying desperately to convince people to keep coming out. The owner(I think) is this fat , ugly Italian or Greek guy named Dimitri. I mean its almost worth going just to see how stereotypical this guy yearns to be. Bottom line: I went to the bathroom and left my girl and her friend at the bar. Came back and dimitri's goons were all over them. Later they became vry nautios and feverish. 3 hrs later ... St. Marks emergency room reported GHB (in large amounts) in their toxicology report. Just glad I was there to save them from rear entry. DO NOT EXPECT much from this place except for expensive drinks and boarderline drugpredators.... Oh plus there is this TOTAL loser named Costas that claims to be the owners brother. Thinks everyone is there to see hiom upp on stage hogging the mike. What a joke

Concerts here are horrible. The performers never show up until 1 am and they count that as a full performance. 4th time it has happened. G-Love's show, Slightly Stupid's Show, BT (Electro-house) Show. They seem to postpone shows if they are not sold out tobegin with. FYI Harry O's closes at 2 am right on the dot. I was dissapointed with the drinks and the bar tenders. I overheard one bartender say, ""I over charged that $%&-hole, he is soo wasted."" The parking situation is bad at it's best. And the cover is overpriced. The drinks are over priced as well. Botteled water is $4 and a non acloholic drink is $2. Their Gin and tonic is more tonic than anything. All drinks are watered down. Try to order a long island and the bar tender (girl) had no idea what it was. Our group (10) will wait for the concerts to play in Salt Lake City before we ever go back to Harry O's. This place has gone steadily down hill over the last few years. Even with their ""NEW"" renovation.. not worth it.

At last week's Roots show I was assulted by a bartender who was wearing an ""I FU** MORMON P*$$Y"" t-shirt. Apparently coked out of his mind and very confused, he mistook me for somebody else and started screaming obscenities at me from behind the bar. In the middle of screaming at me, he ran out into the crowd and tackled another guy, punched him in the face, and then came over to me and got into my face.
He also screamed at a guy for not ordering quickly enough, and yet another for not tipping up to par. I heard a group of guys claiming that they were going to break a bottle over his head. I just wanted to watch a fun concert, and the atmosphere was kind of like the beginning scenes in Roadhouse before Swayze comes in to straighten things out. Or maybe like a drug*ed out, dangerous rendition of the Soup N*zi.
Although he was a complete joke, it was not fun to deal with this idiot, and we had a group of 15 guys and girls who skipped the Mardi Gras party the following night just to avoid these crazy bartenders.
If you want fights and a-holes, go here. I'd recommend nearly anywhere else in Utah. Women are not safe here, nor are men. This guy has an honest to goodness coke problem, and its definitely a shock to the system to order a drink from a guy who decides to pull your shirt and scream at you when you walk into a bar.
