I was sent to another hospital by my vet and after reading the reviews for this hospital I decided not to go there. I found OAH and am very happy that I did. I knew the type of surgery that my cat needed and I understood the operation would be costly. They quoted me a price of $180 for the consult and $2500 for the surgery. I found the money and was prepared to pay. After the surgery I found out the consult only came to $90 and the surgery was only $1300. Any other tests that had to be done I was told the price first. Overall the staff was wonderful and very helpful. They all seem to really love thier job and it shows. I was very pleased with the service that I have received and would recommend this hospital!
I wish Simply the Best was enough to say it all. Dr.Jaime DeSantis and the entire staff ...from him to the people who greet you and those that process you when you leave...the key seems to be Compassion and Understanding. We often arrive distraught and in my case, needed to leave my Baby for the night. I felt as comfortable as is possible when faced with an unknown diagnosis. And everyone there knew how I felt and was there with a kind word and a tissue. To top it all off...I was allowed to call during the night and no one that I spoke with made me feel bothersome with a call. They couldn't have been friendlier and more warm. And of course the best part was picking her up and seeing her bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and feeling just fine. My little Yorkie is my baby and it was a frightening experience so I owe the biggest Thank you to Dr. Jaime DeSantis for seeing to it that she was O.K. You are all why I travel 1 hour back to Oradell for my precious pets. Thank you!!
The staff are extremely kind. Office is the cleanest and most organized I have seen. The doctors have given clear options and treatment considerations without pushing the more expensive options for my dog with nasal cancer. When I put my other dog to rest a few years back the staff were very supportive with my loss and my Dr. Even sent a sympathy card. With the best trained doctors. Educated from top veterinary schools such as Cornell, I recommend Oradell to anyone with an emergency or more complicated pet illness.
Thank goodness for Oradell! If not for this place, my babies would've be out of luck. Unfortunately, my pomeranians had a few accidents which required leg surgery. Dr. Carberry has been amazing on several occasions and my dogs are back to being active little pups. Everyone here really cares about each and every animal. Every time I come back, they've made improvements to something. They always encourage me to call for updates if I had to part with my baby for the night. Dr. Carberry always calls me personally even if it's late at night and she just finished operating. She is never too tired to explain how the surgery went and reassure us. My KiKi just got spayed and extractions here. They gave me a print out of pictures of her mouth before and after to show which teeth were removed. It also had a picture of her in recovery looking happy so I knew she wasn't alone or scared afterwards. You would think considering how many dogs they treat here that they would not be as personal but every time I'm there, all the employees always stop to take the time to tell me how cute my dogs are and that they will miss them.
Unfortunately I had to visit oradell animal hospital when my 9week old puppy ate a push pin! From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, we were treated with the u most respect and caring for us and our new puppy! This facility is top notch!! Thank you for taking such good care of us!! My puppy recovered and is just fine.
Oradell Animal Hospital saved my dog's life! My dog had some minor surgery for an injury at ANOTHER vet's office... and nearly died as the result of the anesthesia. She had hyperthermia from the stress, and started bleeding internally. She was GRAVELY ill. Honestly, she was barely alive. So we rushed her to Oradell Animal Hospital in critical condition. She got amazing care there, and now is healthy and happy. The vets take the time to explain things to you, and the office staff couldn't be nicer. They are up on all of the latest techniques and have the most advanced medical equipment. Yes. they are VERY expensive. But isn't your pet worth it? For local routine visits, I take my dog to my local vet (not the one that did the surgery!).. but for anything serious.. I drive to Oradell Animal Hospital. They're open 24 hours a day, so you can always get care for your pet. My only complaint is that they don't have a board certified Avian Vet on staff for my bird. But for a cat or dog with a serious injury or illness, THIS is the place to go!
I love Oradell Animal Hospital they saved my dog life. They did surgery on my dog Kelly because a chewy bone was stuck in her intestines. After the surgery she remained in the hospital for one week. When I used to call everyone was very professional and nice and never made me feel uncomfortable and always answered my questions. They made sure that my dog was well and safe before they sent her home they took good care of her. When I picked her up to bring her home she even smelled nice because they gave her a bath. I highly recommend this hospital I would definitely go back.
