Kindred Glass Co Inc

Completely appalled. Had a great experience with Kindred Glass to start with, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. They gave me an estimate over the phone with a great price, so I set up an appt for them to come measure my window to be replaced. The two gentlemen who came were polite and quick (in my home for less than 2 minutes). Unfortunately, I made an error. My husband asked me to call and get estimates for glass, and I assumed he meant to have someone install. Simple miscommunication. He only wanted the glass as he has a friend who had offered to replace the glass for him. When John called to set up installation, I explained what had happened and apologized twice and made very clear that it was my own error. He said that he would check the price for just the glass and would probably charge me a service call, so I told him that would be fine and asked him to just let me know a final price when he found out. I didn't hear from him again, so I called to ask, and Sandy answered the phone. I explained the situation to her, and her tone immediately changed and she said she had heard about it and that just wasn't how they worked, so I couldn't buy the glass from them. I told her I wished John had called me back to let me know as we've been waiting to hear back, and she replied that she wished I hadn't asked for them to come out at a rate of $25/hr to give me a quote when I wasn't planning on using them and had someone else installing the glass. I said, "Sandy, could I say something please?" and tried to explain that we were willing to pay the service fee and the price of the glass, but Sandy raised her voice and spoke over me chiding me for misrepresenting what I wanted and ended up snapping "Find someone else to install your glass!" and then hung up on me. My husband and I had a simple miscommunication, and I felt as though Sandy was implying that I had lied to them to get someone to measure my glass. I could have easily called around to price glass as I did to ask about prices for installation. It was a mistake, and I have never seen business conducted so poorly and so rudely. We have used Kindred Glass in the past, and they do great work, but won't be using them again.
