RUN!!!! We are a military family that transferred from Arizona where my son was being homeschooled using the K12 program. Even though the ratings for the school were terrible and it's location isn't great we wanted to take a tour and see if it would be a good place for our son. After leaving a voice mail regarding our situation I received a two sentence email from one of the guidance counselors stating she was "very busy" and to call back the following week and speak with the other guidance counselor, whose contact information wasn't provided. When I responded stating that waiting a week for a simple tour was absurd she responded saying that she spoke with the other guidance counselor about it because she didn't want us to wait two weeks. We contacted Tyndall Elementary regarding our daughter and were able to tour her school the same afternoon. I understand a day or two but a week? Ridiculous, do your job. I don't care if you're doing FCAT writes or not. There is NO excuse to ignore a student new to your district. Fortunately, we were able to transfer within the K12 program and will be joining the charter lotteries for next year. After such a rude and uncaring reception you couldn't pay me to put my son there.
