We use Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to administer and monitor the patient’s in our facility operating room. They use the latest equipment and monitoring devices to assure our patients the best and safest anesthesia experience. Our operating rooms are equipped to hospital standards. Registered Nurses who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support are with our patients during their stay in the operating room. Childbirth and breast-feeding may have significant and unpredictable effects on the size and shape of your breasts. Nevertheless, many women decide to undergo breast reduction before having children and feel that they can address any subsequent changes later. If you plan to breast-feed in the future, your should discuss this with us at your consultation.

The Surgery: Liposuction and direct excision of the enlarged breast tissue make up the ideal solution to this problem. The combination of liposuction or UAL (ultrasound assisted Lipoplasty) and excision of the tissue is done with the patient under general anesthesia in our Facility or a Hospital. The procedure is done through a small incision at the border of the nipple complex, and the glandular tissue is carefully removed. The areola diameter can be reduced or adjusted in position. Liposuction is then used to contour the chest and increase muscle definition. The patient wears an elastic vest for several weeks to control healing and swelling.

General Surgery
The American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASPS), founded in 1931, represents 97 percent of all physicians certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Members also include physicians certified in plastic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The Society has recently changed their name to American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). This name change simplifies our organization and includes all procedures done; cosmetic as well as reconstructive. By choosing an ASPS member plastic surgeon, patients can be assured that the physician has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of additional residency, usually three years in general surgery and two years in plastic surgery. To be certified by ABPS, a physician must also practice plastic surgery for two years and pass comprehensive written and oral examinations. Our physicians (Drs. Ross and Buck) are members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and members of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (see below). When you entrust your face or body to a plastic surgeon, you want to be sure that you are selecting the very best. That’s why you should choose a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
Ear Surgery
Is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of 4 and 14. Ears are almost fully grown by age 4, and the earlier the surgery, the less teasing and ridicule the child will have to endure. Ear surgery on adults is also possible, and there are generally no additional risks associated with ear surgery on an older patient.
Hysterectomy
If you plan to become pregnant or lose a significant amount of weight, you should discuss these plans with your surgeon. Scars from previous abdominal surgeries may limit the results of an Abdominoplasty. However, in some cases, an existing scar can be used for the new incision, as is often the case for women with cesarean section scars. Some women can combine a procedure such as a hysterectomy with an abdominoplasty. Please discuss any plans you may have with your surgeon at the time of your consultation.

Botox
It involves the injection of a neuro-toxin such as Botox or Dysport into the forehead muscles and crow’s feet areas and the placement of a filler such as Juvederm Ultra XC or Restylane into the cheek lines and lips (if needed). Also now available are agents called volumizers. Examples of volumizers include Voluma and Sculptra. The volumizer is used directly in the upper cheek region to provide a fuller more prominent cheek. The addition of these products can actually lift the cheek tissue and provide a more youthful appearance.

Eyelid surgery is performed on men and women of all ages who want to improve their self-image. Most people have eyelid surgery to minimize the effects of aging.
Liposuction
Liposuction can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but it won’t necessarily change your looks to match your ideal, or cause other people to treat you differently. Before you decide to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them us. The best candidates for liposuction are of relatively normal weight but have pockets of excess fat in particular areas. You should be physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in your expectations. Most important, having firm, elastic skin will result in a better final contour. (Hanging skin won’t reshape to your body’s new contours, and may require an additional procedure to surgically remove the excess skin.) Suction lipectomy is not recommended if you’ve had recent surgery on the spot to be sculpted, if you have poor blood circulation in that area, or if you have heart or lung disease. You should also understand that liposuction by itself will not improve the dimpling skin know as cellulite. Consider the use of Endermologie for this concern.

Face Lift

Blepharoplasty

If you believe that your eyes are making you look tired, sad, or older than you really feel, cosmetic eyelid surgery (also called blepharoplasty) may be the right choice for you. Eyelid surgery can remove the excess fat and drooping skin of the upper eyelids, minimize bags under the eyes and tighten the lower eyelid skin. The result is a more alert and rested appearance.
Abdominoplasty

You may wish to have a larger breast implant size or exchange your saline breast implants to the new cohesive gel implants now available. Occasionally, a deflation will occur and a saline breast implant will need to be exchanged. For others the procedure may become necessary to remove or adjust scar tissue (capsular contracture) which can form in the implant pocket. For others this procedure can be done to reposition the breast implant (capsulorraphy). Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia is a benign enlargement of the male breast tissue. Gynecomastia develops in up to 65% of adolescent boys and 40% of adult men.
