Asian Fin & Sushi Lounge

Lousy service, tasty food, highest price I have ever paid for a California roll. Asked for a lime for my drink and the bartender actually threw it to our waiter. I won't go back.

Husband and I went here for dinner; food was ok. Sushi nigiri was overpriced, not portioned and prepared well (rice and fish fell apart as soon as you picked it up) No wasabi treatment, no flavor. Far better sushi for the $$ at other local places like Ebisu. Anyway, the worst part was by far the bar. Let me explain, I happened to be siting facing the bar and watched the bartender make our drinks. ( a habit I have developed as the gm of a bar for several years now.) Bartender was a female, with long blond hair. She makes my husbands drink, a margarita, and places it on the service bar pass area. A server comes by, short jet black crunchy looking wavy hair, (not our server) who immediately starts waving at the bartender to come over saying "BUG!" They have no idea I am watching them! My husband's back is to them so I'm giving him the play by play as it is happening. I could not believe my eyes! The server then proceeds to grab the straw in the drink, poke it around until she gets the bug. She then stoppers the straw, with her bare finger, to suck the bug up and lets it drop into the trash, sticking the straw with her fingers all over the mouth back into the drink, leaving it there for our server who has not seen any of this. The bartender watches all this, does nothing except open the sour mix container to see if there are any more bugs in there! She swishes it around, shrugs and puts the top back on and continues making drinks. I see our server come by and grab the drink and she brings it to our table!! The server and bartender who fished out the bug just share a look and smile. I was disgusted. I politely asked our server if we could see a manager. He eventually came over, I think he was the owner? Not sure, but either way it took me a couple minutes to explain it to him, not sure if it was a language barrier or because he was just impatient and thought I was complaining I didn't like the drink. I explained to him until he seemed to understand "they fished a bug out of this drink and then served it anyway" He just said, "ok I take it off" and walked away. Frankly, if either of these women worked for me at my establishment, they would have been fired immediately, Saturday night or not.

Had I not watched it with my own eyes I never would have believed it. This was the first and last time we will ever go there, of course.

I ardently advise others to avoid it also as clearly customer service, food safety and cleanliness is extremely low on the standard set here. The poor people next to us said, "Man, I'm scared to order any more drinks tonight!" Me too... Especially in a place also serving raw fish. Sad, because it would have been great to have a good sushi joint closer to my house.

What a beautiful restaurant with great sushi and service. The full bar is a new addition. Can't wait to go back.
