I enrolled my son when he was an infant and now he is in VPK. He adores all his teachers and it feels great when you come in and the staff welcomes you and your child with a big smile and positive attitude. I highly recommend this school.

It's very unfortunate that the teachers at this school have to put up with this type of management/ ownership. The teachers are great and very nice but the actions of their management staff will continue to have a negative impact on their ratings. If there was an option for -5 stars I would choose that. The Regional manager for this company, Vanessa Quintero, is very unprofessional and cannot grammatically write an email to save her life. Nor does she have the competence to fully understand one. Home away from home will do whatever it takes to cover up their lies and deception, and will NEVER take ownership and responsibility for the failures of their staff all because they have terms and conditions per the owner, Larissa Silvia.
Love it when parents can call staff out but fail to tell all the truth so on there defense!Annmarie i myself made several complaints about your son hitting my child and several kids daily! Your son smacked you in the face in front of several parents and all you could say was Khalil stop it! They worked with you ample times so your mad about a refund so you want to blast them. What about apologizing for the lack of parenting. How bout a THANK you for putting up with your sons behavior for over a year. Believe me i seen it daily as a parent i dreaded walking in seeing him there daily.
Worst experience ever. They are extremely unprofessional and rude. More than that, this is a money hungry, heartless business. A child care facility should be loving, helpful and friendly. Home Away From Home is anything but that! I would never recommend any of the locations to anyone. The director, owner and office staff will make your experience a nightmare.
Worst school in florida. The staff are super rude. Bunch of greedy people.they don't care about your kid's education, the front desk especially Jessica they are so rude, all they care about is collecting money from you and charge you late fees for each minutes. They were printing my pictures that i walked in the bulding 2 mintes or 3 minutes late and demanding for $20 late fees for first 5 minutes. They are bunch of crooks. My child was there for 5 monthes and she could not even spell her name, and she had a fear to go to school everyday. I changed her school 3 months ago and that was the best decision we made, not even she learned a lot in new school but also her new school discovered her talents and she has been recognized as a very smart child with high IQ. I am so glad to took her out of the HomeAway From Home otherwise she would be wasted there. Please don't send your innocent kids to this evil school there is no cares for kids in this place #WorstSchoolEver
This was thee WORST day care I have ever taken my daughters too. The staff told me that they were a developmental based school. But, failed to tell me that meant my daughter was allowed to run around for two hours while the teachers talked and picked up after the children. I was under the impression there was a structured based curriculum, "Creative curriculum" aka tornado children. I would see kids throwing chairs, jumping on tables, and at one point taking my daughters lunch until she was screaming and crying for the teacher to get it back. She was pushed down the slide once and the teachers did not inform me of it. Yet my daughter was able to articulate "Matthew did it" to me to inform me. The first couple teachers were nice, when they switched to another teacher my daughter stopped talking, and when I picked her up from school and she saw that teacher she would not talk to me or respond to anything I was saying. When we came home she was say "shut up" or "go away". Very discerning to a parent. I took my kids not ONLY for an education, but for safety. Aside from that, BOTH my daughters were sick EVERY week. The staff said it was not their problem and that "if you don't like it you can leave, you don't belong here". Very unprofessional (The director aka the owners sister) told me this. My infant daughter (who was 6 months old) at one point had THREE infections - upper respiratory infection, ear infection, and pink eye. She eventually contracted RSV at this day care as well, and the week I left there was a Lice infestation.THIS SCHOOL IS UNSANITARY, UNSAFE (if you consider viruses around infant children unsafe), and non-developmental based (unlike what they will say). If you don't complain, your kids can go to school sick. I followed their no sick policy for two months, and then eventually when I stopped complaining they would let my kids in sick...which they pretend never happened. I was under family central, so maybe that is why the daycare under this program are not good. I decided to go with nanny care, as it is more individualized. But, I know many parents may not have that option. There are good day cares out there, you just need to look for them. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to do so...which this day care took advantage of. Worst and most stressful experience I did not expect to endure. TAKE YOUR KIDS SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I noticed the teacher, who placed her dirty shoe on the clean blanket where one child puts his face. Next, not too long after that another teacher was caught dragging another student to her mat and threw him down on the floor right before throwing this blanket on him. His back was faced the camera so I couldn’t tell if he was crying or not. Then the UNTHINKABLE HAPPPENS my daughter was laying half on half off her mat (her head and shoulders were hanging off the mat, the rest of her body was on the mat), and the teacher came over and yanked my daughter’s leg to pull her back onto her mat, then shoved her head down into the mat and threw her blanket on top of her. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND NOT TOLERATED. My daughter also just started in this new classroom recently and has cried every day since. Her attitude has also changed, she is a bit more aggressive and has realized she’s picked that up from school, her father and I don’t speak like that at home. I have filed a police report as well.
Love this school!!!!!My daughter was there for 3 years and she learned so much!!!!Teachers are amazing and very caring!!!!I recommend to every one.
Parents need to understand centers are not allowed to disclose why a teacher is let go. We are not in the business of firing or letting go of teachers unless there is a very very good reason like stealing or even worse. No school wants to let go of a teacher in the middle of the year unless there is cause of something we simply can not accept for the safety of the children. That being said, we have teachers that have been in our school for over 20 years and very very happy so our staff turnaround is very good. Yes, like any other school and business we have contracts that you must sign which clearly spells out 2 weeks notice necessary. We can't tell you the amount of times a parent will pull out a child simply because they are crying. This child may have never attended preschool and its obvious that if your child is 3 and has never been in the care of anyone other than a grandmother or parents that they will cry so no that's not a good reason to pull a child out all they need is time to adjust therefore, we require a 2 weeks notice. Parents need to understand that we offer them a space in the school and we count on each space to be filled in order to succeed, That being said we only ask for 2 weeks notice so we can call off our waiting list and fill the space up with another child. They are very well aware of this and sign off on it over 4 x. We try our best. We have been in business for over 11 years so we must be doing something right. We are very successful, but also understand that we can't please everyone and childcare is not for everyone. I wish there was a way of having these reviews proven or post with an option for the actual school to give their version of what really happened. Again, our teachers stay forever if we have ever fired a teacher it has been for a very very good reason.
Take your kids to another day care,my son had horrible experience in it,and he could`t take it anymore ,he is been to 3 other day cares at the time and liked them all, expect this one, here is the catch they will make you sign a contract even for a day and if you won`t like it you gotta pay them 2 more weeks or they will ruin your credit ,i sent my son for 3 days and they want me to leave 2 weeks notice to pull him out, crazy, never heard that from other day cares, stay away people.
