On September 15th I brought my car, Nissan Altima for tire balancing services. Unfortunately, during working with a front tire, they broke a nut and it fell inside of the wheel and then required the whole car to be towed to nearest Car-X facility to remove it.
Unfortunately, it was just the beginning of the issue. The nut was removed, but now it requires the whole hub assembly to be redone, which is over $300 and Discount Tire refuse to cover the cost of it.
Now, my car wheel has only 4 nuts instead of 5, which creates severe safety concerns.
I wish I would go to another place. I am highly disappointed with the services and management of this facility. Be aware and stay away!
The folks here are terrible communicators. No phone call to let you know if delivery is late or on time, not even mentioning that your items haven't been delivered when setting apointment for the same day. I like Discount tire and have used the Elgin store for years but I cannot recommend palatine store to anyone. I give high marks for expertise as the person we dealt with over the weekend knew his stuff but not impressed by anyone else here.
