        Prince George's County Police Department serves more than 800,000 citizens and answers over 500,000 service calls each year. It has nearly 1,400 officers and approximately 250 civilians. The department is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects the lives and properties of residents through crime prevention programs. Prince George's County Police Department also operates traffic laws and maintains a presence in Oxon Hills, Md. Its youth and family services unit monitors all juvenile arrests and coordinates various events geared toward the safety and constructive engagement of young people. The department s special operations division manages aviation, canine, conflict negotiation and civil disturbance units. Prince George's County Police Department additionally offers criminal investigation services and narcotics enforcement programs.

        This service is terrible. They never answer the phone. You call them because you do not want to overload the 911 number. Evidently, they don't think it is important if you don't dial 911. They wonder why people don't get involved. There is almost no place you can get help these days.
