Oak Hills Stables LLC

Oak Hill is an idyllic location for gorgeous weddings and events. The Gothic wedding chapel is a step back in time, and the backdrop of horses observing the festivities is icing on the cake. We love all of our visits to Oak Hill Stables and can't wait to be back again.

Oak Hill Stables, Bed and Breakfast, is a hidden treasure in Oxford, Mississippi. Sprawling fields, ancient trees, lakes and rolling hills. The outdoor chapel is picturesque. The horses roaming the pastures take your breath away.

Oak Hill Stables is located in a gorgeous setting just minutes from Oxford Town Square. It is a little slice of heaven with fabulous food, friendly staff, and charming animals. The chapel is a lovely setting for a variety of events. Jeanette Vaughn prepares amazing brunches for her guests, and the staff does a great job putting together custom gatherings.

We have had many guests throughout the years that love staying at Oak Hill. There testament is all the years that they have returned. Each group has their own favorite place on the farm that they try to return to, some making their reservations a year in advance. Not enough can be said about Jeanette's cooking and special touches she does to all her meals.



The staff at Oak Hill go out of there way to make the B&B's stay a wonderful experience. From the ironed sheets, fluffy towels, and the smiles on their faces when serving our guests; all this helps to make their stay the best.



The previous comment was made by a person that never stayed at Oak Hill and changed her mind about coming after we were out of town with our campers at a show in Memphis. She wanted her monies returned then and we were not where that was possible except by check at the show. They choose to come by the show to get a refund, which I was glad to do.



It was unfortunate that this happened, we set it up in advance so they could come; even though the campers were in Memphis at a Horse Show. We don't normally charge total amounts in advance. We also don't refund deposits. But we did make an exceptions to the rule.

After booking Oak Hills for our wedding night, we were told the deposit was only $100. The next day we find out they have charged our card $438!! After giving us the run around for a week and not crediting our acount like they said they would they eventually tell us they do not know how to work their credit card machine and we just need to transfer money into our account to cover it!! The owner was very uncooperative and insensitive to the matter. At one point when I got the owner on the phone she told me she was at a horseshow and could not deal with this matter!! In the end she had my fiance, THE CUSTOMER, miss work and drive 45 minutes to a horsehow to get a check from her to cover the money they knowingly overcharged us. It was a HUGE mess that could have been easily dealt with. The place looks nice online but the owner is incompetent and I would never refer this place!
