Oxford High School is a college preparatory school that provides diplomas and career-oriented courses. The school provides academic education and higher learning opportunities to students in grades nine through 12, and enrolls more than 1,200 students. The school s curriculum includes English, math, history, foreign languages, fine arts, science and social studies. It also offers career technology programs in various areas, such as business education, computer applications, health science, communications, media and graphic arts. The high school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as music, dance, choir and band, and offers physical and special education. Additionally, the school offers student clubs and organizations, and the National Honor Society program. Oxford High School has a library and media center that provides research material, video conferencing classes and access to the Internet. The school offers a parent-teacher organization and provides various sports activities, including basketball, cross country, wrestling and swimming. The high school is located in Oxford, Ala., and is a part of the Oxford City School District.
