My husband and I have been going to Dr Buchanan for several years and feel very lucky to have him. He is the most knowledgeable doctor in this area and has literally turned our lives around from arthritis, thyroid, heart failure, and back pain with his medicine expertise to his surgeon referrals. There is nothing we can say but that we feel at home with his office staff and talking to him. He is funny and genuine once you get to know him...anyone would be lucky to have him as your physician. I made a follow-up appt. for my mother who had just been discharged from the hospital, she had open heart surgery. Dr. Buchanan sent her home with a prescription for medicine for diabetes, but with no way to monitor her sugar. I went to the office and picked up a monitor free of charge, however there were no testing strips. Her Medicare Part B covers a good portion of the strip cost with a prescription. After 2 days of being promised the prescription to be called in, I finally bought another monitor and strips and on day 3, called and cancelled her appt. Dr. Buchanan should be made aware of the lack of service his office provided as well as the fact he lost a patient.
