Sears Appliance Repair

We have had numerous issues with this appliance, attempted repairs and yet multiple problems continue. I'm not sure if these issues can be resolved but to date the oven still beeps and turns off often halfway through a baking cycle. Do not buy this product.
I always dreaded the annual cleaning and check up but this time it was clean and quick. The tech was on time and very precise. A problem was discovered with the ice maker and to my surprise he had a replacement for the 10 + year old unit. I am impressed. It really pays to have the service agreement. Tech also reminded me on the vents inside, keep them clear and improve overall cooling.
First, our technician was wonderful. In spite of delays caused by Sears sending the wrong parts twice, and several delayed attempts by Sears at rescheduling the service call, our technician was professional and most helpful. We felt like old friends after the 3rd visit! Sears Parts Direct and service scheduling was bad, but the technician who successfully completed the repairs was awesome!
They were very quick to respond. They isolated the problem. They went to get the part. They fixed it the same day. What more could I ask???
The service is terrible. The last 3 times we have had repairs or delivery they have been several hours late. If I hadn't called to find out why they were late I would have never known that there was a delay. Communication was awful. Also, the last 2 appliances we have purchased, a cloths dryer and refrigerator, are lemons that have each required 3 repairs in the first 2 or 3 years of ownership. Since we never purchased their ripoff service agreements, they won't budge on giving us a break on the repair cost. We will never use them again for repairs, never buy another appliance from them or never do business with Sears ever again.
This is the worst treatment by any warranty service company that I have experienced. After purchasing a $6000 Kenmore A/C unit with the extended service warranty, I needed service as the A/C unit was no longer cooling. I scheduled an appointment for service and thought I would be getting what I paid for. But, I apparently missed the invisible ink portion of the warranty contract that stated the warranty was actually worthless. On the day scheduled, there was first a HUGE window of arrival of 6 hours the technician MIGHT arrive. They rescheduled my appointment for a wait of 5 more days. So, a total of 7 days waiting. Apparently, if they can't get to a customer they just put them in some time in the distant future hoping they will go away.
This is completely unacceptable.
I do NOT recommend anyone purchase from Sears due to this. And I will never do so again.
