Tax Planning
Owning individual securities in our proprietary investment strategies enables us to offer clients the ability to have a tax responsive portfolio. We can move securities to donor advised funds and other reserves for charitable gifting and minimize tax impacts accordingly.

Investment Management
Meritage has been developing its proprietary investment strategies for private clients and institutions since the firm’s inception more than 25 years ago. We employ a systematic methodology and approach to value investing. Financial Planning
We utilize financial planning to help identify our clients’ risk tolerance from two perspectives – market volatility and the possibility of losing money, the possibility of outliving their assets or not meeting other financial goals. Finding the appropriate level of risk based on their circumstances lays the groundwork to a sound long-term investment strategy. We encourage our clients to participate in this complimentary financial planning exercise and to update their financial plan when weighing significant decisions - like when to retire, pay off a mortgage, sell a property, file for Social Security benefits, health and long-term care insurance questions, and more.
