Everything is really good - we really like the Fried Pickles and their wings. Had brunch there this weekend as they rolled out a new brunch menu. There is a really good poutine made with three kinds of cheese and we loved their Irish Hash - corned beef burnt ends, grilled onions, and tater tots under cheese and two fried eggs. We ordered a plate of it to share alongside other stuff we got, but I ate it all before my wife got a chance to try it....oops.

Very unresponsive to the needs of the individual. they are getting paid to distribute funds but will not do anything until its handed to them on a silver platter. They are in it to protect their financial interest, not the needs of the client.

There is an over-abundance of sports bar & grills in Johnson County, Kansas. To open a sports-themed bar you better be better than the established names of Coach's, Tanners, and even 810 Zone. We found Overtime Sports Bar & Grill on 135th Street close to home and I posted very positive comments about the place. Now, all I can say is stay away from the place as it is poorly staffed, puts out poor quality food, and this all falls on the management which is an utter joke.To highlight the ineptitude of this place, we have visited 4 times and only once did they get our order correct. The servers never know what beer is available and are generally clueless about the menu--both alcohol and food. Whenever they are busy, the excuse is that they are busy. Really? Isn't that a sign of success and not an excuse for poor service? Our first visit was the only good visit. The second visit, our food order was exactly backward and the server was confused about the beers on tap vs. bottled beer. We cut them slack and came back a third time. On that visit we sat at the bar and ordered wings and onion rings. After an hour and 45 minute wait, they brought us 6, yes 6, cold onion rings. Then they brought the wings out and Dani and I had ordered different types of sauce which was indistinguishable. The wings went back and within minutes were brought back out with 1/2 the order slathered in sauce which of course got all over the other wings making them nearly inedible for my wife. Needless to say, I complained loudly and a lady named Irina took care of us by buying the meal, a round of drinks and offering us a voucher for a free appetizer on our next visit. Unfortunately for Overtime, Irina works at the Roxie and was only helping out that night.Last night we went back to use our voucher and give the place one last shot. We were seated quickly but our server did not show up until the table next to us (who were also stunned at the ineptitude of the place) went and got her after we waited 6 minutes and they waited longer than that! We ordered drinks and after waiting nearly 15 minutes and watching servers drift aimlessly through the dining room, we walked out.The root of the problem is with the management. On our first visit we met the "manager" who is a young girl and happens to be a daughter of the owners. As it turns out, we have some common friends in the industry and I thought she was doing a decent job for someone that young. On our 2nd visit, she remembered us but gave us only a cursory "hello" and never came over to our table. On the 3rd visit, she was leaning on the back wall of the bar. She nodded after I said hello and managed some sort of a return greeting--never once leaving the back wall or even bothering to stand up. When our order was jacked up that night, did she appear to help us? Of course not, she deferred to Irina. Last night, although she saw us walk in and walk out, she never even attempted a greeting. Well, guess what sweetheart? There are a lot of places that would be ecstatic to have our business so we will be going elsewhere.There is obviously little or no training provided to the servers. They do not walk with purpose, they do not help each other and they are in a situation where they will consistently lose. This all falls on the ineptitude of the owners/managers. They obviously have no SOPs and avoid accountability. In sum, not even John Taffer could save this place and my guess is they are closed by Christmas. Do not waste your money, your time, or your evening on this place. Even the Groupon is not worth it. And, FYI, I've been in the restaurant/bar business since 1989 so my critique is from an insider perspective.

GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN, THERE IS A MONSTER THAT IS LOOSE BEHIND THE COUNTER. He is tall, has scraggly hair, a dirty looking beard, he appears unkempt and is VERY, VERY rude. This man was never 'taught' nor was he trained 'how to be kind to others' which, as of today I thought was a natural human trait, Hatred, Being Downright Mean and Venomous must be carefully 'taught'. He does not speak, nor does he offer to help you, or ask if you wish to purchase something else. He does not exhibit or possess even an iota of kindness toward the customer. WHY DO YOU HAVE HIM WORKING THERE? The large yellow sign says "Shell Oil Company", yet it is privately owned but the public sees the sign and then the associate and wonders 'what has happened to Shell Oil?' When I pointed out to this creature that he could be a bit kinder or, possibly try answering a question when asked. I had come in to pay for a car wash. I asked for the least expensive and he did not speak but pointed to the $6.00 car wash. It mentioned right at the top that it included A FOAM WASH. back to get a car wash and then fill up my 30 gallon tank. I was sliding my card through the machine to pay for a $6.00 car wash and saw were it advertised FOAM WASH, and that is when I told the man that I had JUST been through the car wash and there was no foam; as I had just assisted an elderly lady by driving her car through the car wash and, believe me, there was no FOAM WASH. Mentioning this to this your 'attendant', I asked, "since there is no 'foam wash' may I run my car through twice"? his answer was "NO". I remarked to him "You are quite possibly the rudest man I have ever dealt with in my life"; at the time I was swiping my credit card to get the $6.00 FOAMLESS car wash. I stated that I would never return! I am not sure what he did, but it was clear that he grabbed some sort of piece of paper coming out of a printer ripping it violently off of the machine, crumpled it up & then 'he' spoke for the first time, "Lady, I do not know what YOUR problem is today....... But I am asking you to leave the store now and never come back. He said this in a very mean voice that was easily heard by the other six people in line to pay for something.When someone is as obtusely rude, as this man, and is dealing directly with the customer, something must be done. He did not give me a receipt for canceling my transaction which is what he said he did. This is now posted on my 'Wall' on my Facebook Page so you will lose more customers. I worked in Corporations in the Sales/Marketing Departments directly working with CUSTOMER SERVICE. The following is true, 'there are many other gas stations in a 5 mile radius.' 'If you can not offer competitive prices, which you do, AND, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE then you will continue to lose business. If I were Shell Corporation I would be incredibly embarrassed to have an 'associate' who did not bathe, was unkempt, has a long scraggly beard and long hair that appeared to have not been washed for months. He is scary looking. He has chased me away and some of my friends. SHAME ON YOU SHELL OIL COMPANY Believe me, Shell, I am embarrassed for you and I have worked for many big corporations. He, would be gone tomorrow if I had my name over the door. This man is giving Shell Oil a bad name. Something should be done TO GET RID OF THIS FELLOW FAST.

The tall grey bearded man tha...

The tall grey bearded man that is always there is mean, has no personality & is very rude. If he is there turn around and go across the street to Fry's Auto station. I have been treated poorly EVERYTIME that man is in there. He has run off every member of my family and 2 of my friends. Why Shell allow him to stay is beyond me. Sad because it is convenient but at what cost?! He goes & many customers will come back. He worked at 3pm today, he is a MEAN MAN!

I have been doing business at ...

I have been doing business at this BP for a couple of years; my first experience was getting a tire repaired after I picked up a nail on a gravel road. They fixed it within a few minutes at a minor charge. I have had more work done since then, including headlights and oil changes. Their prices are competitive (certainly more reasonable than a dealer), and they get the work done when promised. I would (and have) recommended this station to friends and family.
