About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Ambrosis Salon
Maggie H. rated

I had high hopes for this salon; I'm from Chicago, so I had to research salons on the internet for my upcoming wedding. Ambrosis seemed to be the most professional and produced the highest quality work in the area. However, my hair and makeup trial this Saturday was disappointing. My updo started to fall out within 2 hours of leaving the salon and my make up was smudging all over the place. The stylist failed to put powder on to set my liquid foundation, used no concealer under my eyes to brighten them, didn’t use highlighter, didn’t cut the lashes to fit my eyes, the liquid eyeliner wasn’t even close to my lash line, didnt put on any type of lipstick/gloss, and didn’t use a setting spray. On top of this every time I asked for something to be different or tweaked the stylist stated she'd fix it the day of. When you're paying $100 for a service you expect to get what you're asking for. I wanted to give the stylist the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe she just had an off day. So I contacted the salon to see if they could remedy the situation. Carlye, the stylist, suggested I use other services for my wedding. After the trial and horrible customer service experience I will absolutely be booking with another salon.
