Kossel's Service Center

My boyfriend bought all his appliances for his new house at Kossels because he wanted to support a local family business. A little over a year later the dish washer had a leak. We asked how much it would be for kossels to com fix it and they gave us the rates, ok no problem. The technician came out, looked at it for 10 mins, made some adjustment and left. Still wasn't fixed. Bill comes and he was charged for an hour of service plus a travel fee which was not disclosed when we asked before service. My boyfriend went to kossels several times to resolve the issue over the next few months and the service manager, Ben continuously made no effort to get the dishwasher fixed or rectify the bill. After a few months kossels finally sent a statement of his account at zero balance, they took care of the bill. A week later we get a letter from Ben stating the account is being referred for legal action. I believe in buying local, but not ever again from this place!!

Kossel's beat Van Vreede's pricing by several hundred dollars and was able to deliver before labor day weekend to accommodate our schedule. FREE delivery and installation. I would use them again in a heart beat!

We have worked with Kossel's Service in three homes over a ten year period. Kossels is OLD SCHOOL - in a GREAT WAY! They take care of their customers and pride themselves on local business. For a small family run company to compete with big box stores, you know they have to know the service business well. They take care of customers, know you by name, and KNOW HOW TO FIX THINGS. I would highly recommend them to ANYONE. A plus service and customer relations.

Bob Kossel prides himself on being an excellent sales person. He's a friendly guy and I have no issues with him personally, however, professionally, well that's a completely different story.



We paid $50 to have an appliance delivered, installed, and our old appliance hauled away. Unfortunately, Kossels let me down after the sale when they failed to deliver my appliance as promised and failed to give me a courtesy phone call to tell me they were running late. 2 hours after my appliance was supposed to be delivered I called the store to ask when my item would be delivered; unfortunately, I was met with a rude sales person, but as luck would have it, the delivery people called to tell me they were about 5 minutes away (this is 2 hours late by the way and the first phone call they made to me).



About 15 minutes later they showed up unapologetic with our appliance. I called Kossel's back to speak with Bob to let him know about my bad experience but he was out of the office so instead I spoke to his mother who happens to work there also. She was very polite and took a message from me to have Bob call me back the next day. Well, 2 days later and no phone call from Bob.



I am a small business owner myself and prefer to give my business to local businesses as opposed to the big box stores. We shopped all the stores and chose to buy from Kossels even though their selection was minimal and prices were higher in order to support our community. Lowes would have given us free delivery, installation, and disposal and they had a sale for 10% off all appliances over $299 and I had a coupon for another 10% but I chose Kossels and this is the thanks I get.



Actions speak louder than words. It would have been nice to get an apology but what does he care? He has our money but he probably won't get my repeat business or any referrals.
