Our room was in need of renovation. Floor laminate is peeling up. The sheets and mattress pad did not fit the bed. Sheets are old and worn. The bathroom was grungy and should be renovated. You have to check out a hair dryer from the front desk. Questionable characters hanging around outside, trash bins overfull and in plain sight. Laundry bins stored in front of the main office looks tacky. See the reviews in Trip Advisor for more horror stories.
This place is grungy at best. They texture painted the shower stall. Seriously? Who does that? No option to have just the light on in the bathroom & has the loudest exhaust fan I ever heard. The mattress is hard. Can hear the people next store clearly. Pay the extra money for a better room.
I visited this motel in August, 2013.I had never been to Oshkosh before, and looked on-line to try to find the cheapest place to stay for three days because I had tickets to Rock U.S.A. They told me a price on the phone that I thought I could afford. When I arrived, they charged me almost $20 more per night than they had told me they would. The property was very dirty and decrepit. When I went into the room, I noticed right away that it smelled bad. I went into the bathroom, and there was a huge hole in the wall and the bathtub was dirty. When I went to sleep in the bed that night, when I got under the covers I noticed that the linen was not clean: it smelled like rotten food, or something. The office refused to give me clean linen. I took a shower the next morning, and when I walked the three yards or so from the bathroom to the bed to get dressed, I noticed that my feet were sticky. I looked at the bottoms of my feet, and both were completely jet black: the carpet was so dirty that only walking that short distance with damp feet collected that much grime. The owners were not on the premises all weekend, but there was a "maintenance" person walking around with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other who I was supposed to ask if I needed anything. I asked for some extra towels, and he refused to give me any. Every day he was sitting in a lounge chair outside on the sidewalk at 9:00am drinking beer with some of the residents: apparently Town Motel has weekly/monthly rates. It was a horrible experience and I only stayed there because I did not think I could afford any place else.
Great place to sleep for the night. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom and the room is clean as a crystal(:
