I hired set in stone creations to renovate my pool. The renovation consisted of re plastering with blue crystal Crete plaster, installing a canteliever edge, re tiling , replacing both skimmers , installing a saltwater system and an LED light. The renovation got off to a bad start. The estimated start date was May 18th 2015. The project was not started until the end of May. I was out of the country at the time of the project so communication was on the top of my priority list. Over the course of the next 2.5 months there was almost no contact. I would try to call with no effort to return my calls, I tried emailing,!often with no response. Eventually I received an apology email for the lack of communication promising he would stay in better communication with me. Nothing changed for the remainder of the project. As I was out of the country at the time. Part of the deal was that set in stone would also maintain the pool. When I returned August 11 2015 the pool was filled with algae and was missing many chemicals as well as still not being a salt water pool. Not only was the chemical balance incorrect. But there were white spots all over the plaster as well as a canteliever edge that was not installed straight and evenly around the pool the cantilever edge was also painted extremely poorly. Upon finally being able to contact set in stone he assured me the marks would come out with constant brushing and supplied me with some sequestration agent. This was the final contact I had with set in stone creations . I have tried multiple times to get in contact with him With no luck. I have also requested information and licensing on the subcontractors used to plaster the pool and he has failed to provide those. Very unfortunate experience with set in stone pools. I would not recommend to any one looking for any work done. Next step is consulting a lawyer and filing a complaint with the Florida department of business professional regulations.
