I went to this particular shop because they are... either corporate or franchise, and the one I normally go to was... (the other)... so these guys had a better special, and they are both just about the same distance from my house. Not their fault, the stupid website doesnt let you leave a personalized note with specific instructions (or anything else we need or want to tell them for whatever reason), so after ordering online I had to call. Well EVERYONE was taking advantage of the special that nite so the lines were clogged, and by the time I got thru, my pizza was already in the oven. I wasnt happy but I didnt make a big deal about it... then the more I thought about it I was like, I cant believe Im buying a pizza from a shop right down the street from Orlandos redlight district slum, JUST SO I CAN SAVE A DOLLAR... the place is probably filthy... and if the punk I was just talking to felt like I was arguing with him hes probably making SURE theres cockroaches in it, if there arent already..; So yah, Im just about sick from food poisoning before I even get there... and as Im pulling up I notice it looks kinda... bright... so that was a little comforting considering the area I was driving through to get there... and when I open the door and walk in the place is IMMACULATE; I mean SHINY, SPOTLESS clean... the employees are all also clean, and super friendly, and even very respectful, to all the customers (regardless of everyones... differing... culture (my side of the counter looked like the DNC, and theirs actually looked like the RNC that night!?), Im telling you, if Hotel California was being piped over the PA I wouldve ran for my life... then the manager, who was apparently waiting for me, and also about half my age (Im 42), comes up to me all professional and apologizes, he -italics- shakes my hand, opens the box up and asks if Im sure everythings ok, or did I want him to make me another one- it looked so good I almost shoved my face into the scalding pizza while he was holding it (and when I got home it was AWESOME.) So yah, after I did shove a few slices down, I had to share my bitterness'n'fear-turned-shame'n'delight with their online feedback, assuring them that their pride-and-joy of Orlando sits like a golden palace in the middle of the ghetto... the next day the district mgr calls me to tell me they work very hard at that store, and my feedback made it all the way up to... some national Vice President. Eh, then the next few times I went there it was still very clean but they seemed like pretty typical teenagers, which is fine and normal, and actually a bit relieving cuz that first experience got uh... kinda spooky... and the food has always been great so they always take their baking seriously, which is all that matters to me: I would MUCH rather have good food from a clean restaurant with even the most obnoxious service I ever had, than uh, ANY lesser kind of food or hygiene! So dont storm out of there without your food just because they seem... less than overjoyed to see you, because YOU will be overjoyed when you eat it!
I was connected to Mr. Gigliotti through my criminal defense lawyer who is very respected and has been in private defense for 30 years and told me he directs all domestic issues to Mr. Gigliotti. I had some personal issues and got an injunction against me and first called my lawyer, and when I spoke to him he informed me he doesn't handle these issues and directed me to Mr. Gigliotti, who I remembered because my lawyer had suggested him previously about five years ago when I was going through some child support issues, and then Mr. Gigliotti was very kind and told me I should just save the money I have and bring it to court and offer that as payment on child support rather than higher him, because that would keep me out of jail. So I was very happy to call him and hire him for my current issue. He was extremely attentive to every question i have. I never had any issue contacting him. He always answered my texts, emails and phone calls even when at lunch. He has become more than my lawyer he has become a trusted confident and friend. I would suggest him to anyone. He has gone above and beyond anything I could ever ask for. He has given me guidance and has done everything in his power to help me get through this personally and professionally. I have no ill feeling to him, and even when our judge made crazy decisions he found ways to get us in front of the judge again and was and is persistent to make sure I was and am satisfied with his work on my case. I have worked with many lawyers in my life unfortunately and James by far was the best and most pleasant I have ever dealt with. He truly seemed concerned about me and not when my payment would get to him. I give you my word on God and my children that he is the best choice. You can even call me to see that this is a real comment and not just some random BS 407.808.9487 and ask for Tom.
There's the saying that goes something like "Good things found in small places" well, that is what this place is. The location is sure of hidden so if we weren't walking the stretch of International Drive we won't have seen it. It's a smaller place tucked away in like a corner that has very good flavor. My family and I have gone on many vacation to different places and eat all sort of food. The food here didn't have that American/Thai flavor, it was more flavorful and rich. I ate the peanut sort of flavor curry... I think it was Panang Curry, I loved it. I had it before at other places and it's usually watery and blunt in tasting. But this one was thicker and richer, there was a lot too. The rest of my family order, Pad Thai, Sweet Basil Stir-fry, Roasted Duck, and something from the specialty menu but I can't remember what it's called...something with soft shelled crab. But anyway, they were all good. Full of flavor, fresh ingredients....we went at the prefect time, they just open for dinner so it wasn't busy yet. We didn't order any appetizers, so we did have to wait a little because everything is cooked to order...so we didn't mind. I rather wait for fresh food than the already made fast food. Thai food is not like Chinese food and so it's not going to be fast. Plus, you can't compare the two, they're two totally different countries and culture, so the food is also totally different. Of course, we ordered way too much food and didn't finish everything but we did take it home and it tasted as good the second time around. I really like the place and would really love to eat there again when we go back to Orlando.
When my husband at the time decided to get a divorce I was totally surprised and didn't know the first thing what to do next. I was referred to Mrs. Donna Hung by a friend of mine and after reading all the great reviews I decided to call and ask for an appointment. After the first meeting with Mrs. Hung, I knew it was the right decision on hiring her as my attorney. I just knew she was going to do her best for me. She knew all right questions to ask me to formulate a plan of action and I felt comfortable with her from the start. My X had hired a professional evaluation company to do detail research on all of the property values and all the contents of the house. It had to be a 30 page report with values that were not consistent with today's value. I was so worried with these figures that I was not going to get anything. Then after Mrs. Hung studied the report and went in front of the judge, the judge ordered another recount since Mrs. Hung explained it in a fair and reasonable way. The judge approve the new plan and the results were way better than I had ever expected it to be. Thank you Mrs. Donna Hung for helping me start a new life that would have not happened if it wasn't for your guidance through all of this mess. Your are my angel and I thank God that I made the right choice in you as my attorney.
Jay Rooth - defended me in a Domestic Violence case. My opinion is in Orange County FL If someone accuses you of Domestic Violence, your considered guilty, until proven innocent. Injunctions are handed out like candy on Halloween. If you don't believe me go to court without Legal Representation. My case was involving an ex friend who was seeking revenge, allot of false allegations were made against me . The judge in my case was ready to put a injunction in place, without any cross examination or listening to my telephonic testimony (I live over 2000 miles away from Orlando). I was fully expecting a 90 injunction. But Jay was able to convince the judge allow cross examination. Through his cross examination he was able to knock holes in the testimony against me, destroying the petitioners credibility. Enough so that the charges were dismissed. What I have written above is the real short version and really does not come close to describing how great Jay is in the courtroom, and his knowledge of the Law. Believe me I would love to post the audio recording of the trial. But I don't think that is a good idea. My advice is if you're dealing with Domestic Violence Charges, you better get a Lawyer. I would recommend Jay Rooth
Ray's Pizza and More is a nice eatery that makes excellent pizza. It's located a short distance off South Orange Blossom Trail, on Lancaster Road, in Orlando (about 4/10's of a mile on the left as you drive east toward Orange Avenue). You can't miss it, if you watch for the Texaco Station. We tried the Ray's "take-out" Pizza for the first time, this Saturday evening, January 17th, 2009. As longtime Orlando residents, dating back to our move to Florida in the early 1970, we've "tested" many "pizza places". Ray's is one of the best...they make the closest thing you can find to good New York Style Pizza. We were so impressed with the crust, sauce and flavor that we telephoned "Louis" to tell him Ray has a new customer. Give Ray's pizza a "try"....you won't be disappointed. PS. The menu also includes Italian favorites including, to mention a few, different pasta dishes, lasagna, calzones and cannoli's. Prices are very reasonable...Example: Right now on Sundays and Mondays...buy a pizza...any size...and get the second one (same size) for half price.
Donna Hung was my third lawyer. She took my case even though we were about to go to court. Once I hired her I realized the poor service I received from my first 2 lawyers. Donna was extremely professional, efficient and straightfoward. I did not go to court and the case was settled. I am very happy that I found her and would recommend her 100%. Read reviews before deciding on a lawyer. I did not do this and my sister was the one that read her reviews and recommended her to me. Before this unfortunate case I did not know much about lawyers but with my first 2 lawyers I knew something was wrong. When I hired Donna I felt the difference immediately. I was involved and did not feel that my lawyer was simply reacting. I felt she really did have the knowledge, the organization. I felt respected and protected. My most sincere thank you to the entire team and especially to Attorney Donna Hung. I am writing this review wherever I get the chance because I know the importance of a review and I know that just having a lawyer is not enough.
To say that divorce is a particularly difficult time in one's life would be an understatement. I attempted to navigate my divorce pro se and quickly learned how bad of a decision this was. I was lucky enough to have been referred to Donna. Donna made this time/transition in my life much easier, and without her assistance I can only imagine how horrible this process could have been. I can happily say that Donna is a delight to work with and is one of the few attorneys who truly cares about the needs of her clients and will work tirelessly to aid them in navigating such a tumultuous time in life. I have personally recommended Donna to others and will gladly continue to do so. Donna is quite knowledgeable, aggressive when the time calls for it, and above all compassionate. I owe her more than this review as thanks for how she has helped me and can only hope that those reading my review will solicit her counsel.
We found the place be accident. We were looking for a place to eat on our way to dropping some friends at the airport. We know that there are a lot of restaurants along International Drive and decided to make a detour. We were driving along and saw the sign "Thai" and decided to stop. The food was fabulous! We all tried different dishes and they were all wonderful. I am very skeptical in trying new places and unfortunately not very adventerous when it comes to food. I usually order the same things, as I did here. My favorite Thai dish is Spicy Basil and this was by far the best I have had. I don't recall what everyone else ordered, however I know everyone was very satisfied. I did take a taste of my husbands dish and it was to die for! Not something I would have tried on my own. We are actually planning a trip to Orlando this weekend and plan to stop in for an awesome meal.
It's a great little place with good food for low prices. My favorite is a slice of VIP pizza (not on the menu, but worth a try!)But beware: word traveled quickly and Metro Espresso gets really crowded during lunch, especially since the construction started right across the street on Central Blvd. So if you just want to pick up your lunch you do best if you call your order in in advance. Metro's service is simple, but ok for a pizza place. You can sit inside or outside, pick up is available and I think they offer catering for office parties. Only problem: There is not much parking available, just a few meter spots in front of the restaurant and of course the Parkside parkhouse. Still, I never had a bad experience at Metro and I like the diverse clientele; at this place you find everybody from students with dogs over construction workers to business folks in suit and tie!
