Cheap and not Cheap

I had lived here for a couple of years. The only two advantages it had were being cheap and close to UCF. One of these is gone (so have I) since they have increased the rent by $75 to cover the costs of Internet and Basic cable. Do your math and you will find out yourself how much it costs for Internet and a basic cable.

New management has improved upon many things but it is still not worth the rent hike.
They have reduced the work force and the ONLY handyman has to take care of all apartments. You can well imagine what happens with the residents and the poor gay (handyman) during cold spell and hot weather. (Most of the AC/heating is very old, that needs fixing every now and then and it also takes toil on you power bills).

Another step taken by management is to reduce the number of times/week the garbage is picked up. Sometimes it becomes very hard to walk by the garbage dumpster. My hats off to resident who live close to these.

In recent months, there have been many cases of theft in apartments. One of the residents (UCF students) had all their stuff stolen while they were at UCF (so much for being close to UCF). And by the way UCF shuttle does not stop in the apartment complex, you need to walk to more shady area to board the shuttle and it takes a long detour to reach UCF (you may reach earlier if you walk).

Another resident had his GPS stolen from his car.

The parking is abundant, since most of the apartments are vacant. There is no check on who can park at the parking spaces. The workers of nearby construction site also park here.

On weekends, you hear loud noise and fighting. No one is there to ensure lease rules.

If you love roaches then this is the place. The pest control has failed to control roaches.

By the way there is also a nice small swimming pool besides the leasing office. It is only open during week days and that too during working hours. So,if you are jobless then you may enjoy it otherwise you can just see it. And do not go by the depth marking on the pool, it is deeper than marked.

Pets are welcome here, and you also welcome to walk your pets on lawn without worrying about there droppings. Rest of the residents need to be careful when taking a stroll.

A Pig is still a Pig!

This place is a trashy place to live! Maintenance can not fix anything that is if you can get them to come to your call, either day or night. They have an after hours number to call but no one answers or if they do answer they never show up until the next day. I can only image what would happen if it was an emergency! When they do decide to show up, they stink of beer and act as if they are spaced out! O yes there is one good thing about the property, they have a green fishing pond that they call a pool which is never open. The maintenance staff parties after hours outside the laundry room and on weekends playing loud music and drinking. As soon as my lease is up I am moving from here quick! Please, do not wast your time to live here, it is a dump.
