Our post office box was broken...

Our post office box was broken and the post office took it to fix it.Did not let the neighborhood know,I called the main USPS and they were nice and gave me a confirmation on the complaint and they will fix it asap.I call the local office to check

about my mail 1st a carmen picked upi and was rude and said pick up the mail there

and that they don't know when they will have the problem fixed.

I feel that they should of let the nieghborhood know about the situation and to inform us to pick up our mail at their post office and not guess what is going on.

This location has gone downhil...

This location has gone downhill over the years, the inside if filthy and the outside is not well keep.

I arrived at the post office at 11:59 pm on September 3, 2011 to pick up mail being held for my business while I was out of town. After standing in line for a few minutes the clerk behind the counter yelled the post office was closing early and had closed while I was standing in line and that she would not be able to assist me with retrieving the mail that was being held.

Since I had been in line waiting an additional 15-20 customers had gathered in line behind me; when another clerk appeared from behind the wall to yell at everyone that they were closing early. I asked this gentleman to retrieve my mail and explained I had been out of town and checked the website to confirm the operating hours which indicated 8:00am -4:00 pm on Saturdays and that I would not be back into town for several weeks and need to retrieve important mail that had arrived during my absence. At this point he stated if they helped me they have to help everyone else in line and he would never get to go home and I would have to speak with a supervisor. I requested he ask his supervisor to come out and speak with me in regard to my simple request to retrieve my mail which was being held for pickup.

John Lopez the clerk supervisor appear and rudely stated they were closed and I could come back on Tuesday before I could explain my request and the reason I could not return on Tuesday. After letting him speak I again explained I would be out of town for several weeks and that I had important mail that I need to retrieve, also due to the information on the website I was unaware of their intentions to close early on Saturday. Mr. Lopez rudely stated I could pick up my mail on Tuesday and to call the Postmaster if I was unhappy about the situation, then walked away. Due to this inconvenience of having to wait three weeks to retrieve the business mail my business will incur penalties from clients for late payment process and I hold the USPS at fault.

By this time is was 12:30 pm and many people were coming attempting to get assistance with their package and they too were being sent away with the same disregard for customer service or customer appreciation as I had encounter by the rude, lackluster staff who manned the window. The post office did not have internal signs or official signs outside to inform the public the early closure. (Which is not a holiday nor recognized as a holiday so why they needed to close early I do not understand).

Cant count on them

I don't send mail from my home because I had issues with bills being lost years ago. There is a lady that delivers our mail regularly and there hasn't been any problems with her. Things seem to go wrong when she has a substitute. The other mail person walks through my garden with no regard to the flowers or fence around them because he always steps on them, knocking the border fence down. That is not what I'm most upset about though. I had confirmation on my computer that a package was delivered to my address when in fact it was not. The post office explained to me that the substitute delivery person delivered it to the wrong house. The package contains jewelry, so I can only hope they find it! Too many issues in the 8 years we've lived here, not impressed.
