This company has my company's phone number listed on their credit card transactions. Needless to say, I get calls almost daily from creditors regarding their clients' complaints against Global Rentals of Orlando. It's gotten to the point that I keep their phone number on a post-it at my desk so I can pass it on. I've called repeatedly to ask that they remove my company phone number, but they have not once answered their phone or responded to my voicemails. I have not personally done business with them, nor would I ever considering the frequency of complaints I receive on their behalf.

Let me start off by saying, do not rent from this company; they are almost surely doing something illegal. In addition to operating as "Global Rent A Car" they also operate as "Ace Rent a Car." Here is our recent experience with this business.

First, upon arriving at the airport, we called Ace Rent a Car to be picked up by the shuttle; this is per the instructions in the reservation email that we had received. After getting to the pickup area, we waited for 20 minutes. After some time passed, I called them to see where they were and we were told that they had come and already left. Once they got back to the pickup area, the driver drove 80 miles per hour through the Orlando International Airport and nearly crashed twice.

After we arrived at the office, the young man working the counter informed us that we would have to give a $500 deposit because we were Florida residents and that this was Florida law. Additionally, we were told that we weren't really getting unlimited miles even though the receipt said we were. To these two absurd comments, I informed the manager and the young man at the counter that they were operating under shady business practices, bordering on a "bait and switch." Long story short, we were able to negotiate for an hour and a half and get what we paid for.

In sum, do not rent from these people; they are a scam and should be reported to the Florida State Attorney's Office. Furthermore, they need to learn customer service and respect for other human beings.

I booked a reservation with this company after seeing all the positive reviews. The dropoff service was no problem and I made it to the airport with no issues. When I was ready to be picked up, however, I called the company both prior to my departure and once I gathered my luggage from baggage claim. During both calls the representative instructed me to go to the first level to space A33. After 10 minutes, I called the rep to inform him the shuttle had not yet arrived, but he assured me the shuttle was on its way. Another 10 minutes passed and I call again, and the rep confirmed that A33 was the correct space and the shuttle driver was coming. After 30 mins, I tell the rep that no shuttle has pulled up to A33. He states that people have been dropped off from the airport already and that I must have missed the shuttle. Livid at this point, I stated that I have been waiting at A33 since my initial call. I proceeded to take a taxi to their location. I spoke with the manager, a Mr. John Roberts, and explained what happened. He completely dismisses my claims, stating that the shuttle came to the place it was supposed to (apparently he believes I made all this up in my head). I saw the shuttle driver pull up and spoke to him to try to get to the bottom of it. The shuttle driver said he was picking up customers at a different numbered space.

My issue with this company is the manager's poor customer service. When I brought my problem to him, he did not apologize for my wasted time, attempt to investigate what happened to prevent other customers from experiencing the same inconvenience, or offer to pay for the taxi. Speaking with the shuttle driver confirmed this was caused by a complete miscommunication on their end. There are too many competitors with excellent customer service to deal with this mess. I would not recommend this company because if anything goes wrong, don't count on the management to do their part.

Warning: Global Car Rental do...

Warning: Global Car Rental doing business as Economy Rental, off airport at Orlando, Florida (MCO).

3255 McCoy Rd, Orlando Florida.

Upon arriving at the airport, my girlfriend used the Car Rental phones locate at baggage checkout, while I retrieved our luggage. The guy, and very disturbed and angry guy to say the least, barked at her and said he does not have a reservation for us and abruptly hung up on her.

Once I retrieved our bags, I called back and gave him the priceline.com confirmation number, he barked at me saying “It just came up on the computer now. Go to location 18B” and he hung up on me also. I had some other information which I wanted to ask him, but I guess I would have to wait until I get to the counter.

Once we got to the rental desk, the same “angry Hispanic guy name Louis’”, who hung up on the both, of us was at the counter. He said we had to pay for insurance. I said that we paid for collision through price line. He said “prove it, and that he was not Price Line”. I showed him the information on my iPad from the Priceline reservation.

He that said I had to pay $24.99 for liability. I told him that my auto insurance covers that and my home owners insurance. He said I had to produce an insurance card or I would have to pay the $24.99 a day. I said that that was BS, because I did not have my insurance card, nor does the insurance card show any amount of liability in the first place. He said that that did not matter it is their company policy. He refused to rent us a car, and got mad, and kicked us out of his building. I asked that he phone a cab and he refused. Also was refused a ride back to the airport in the method that we were brought there. I am glad that I had a cell phone; else I would have been stranded.

So be forewarned. If you still decide to rent from this company, carry a cell phone in case you get refused rental too. And carry your insurance policy and cards with you so you don’t get jacked for $24.99 a day in insurance that is not required by law state!

Now I have to find out how to get my prepaid insurance back from Priceline.com, since I was refused a car.

This is the most unprofessional business which I have stepped foot into. No one deserves to be treated the way this guy treated us. “Welcome to Florida”. I wonder how many other people this has happened to and how much money this guy is costing the company, or how many people just go ahead and allow their selves to be jacked for $24.99 a day or more.: You can’t make this stuff up.

RE: http://www.interamerican-car-rental.com/

If I were Priceline.com, I would remove this company from any possible returned searches as they are horrible and in turn giving Proceline.com a bad reputation also.

I plan to post this on Tripadvisor.com, Priceline.com, and as many other site which warn travelers

This company is HORRIBLE!!!! I...

This company is HORRIBLE!!!! I never want anything to do with them again. Purchased a car through them via price line for my husband to use during his stay in Orlando. He waited for over 40 minutes outside the airport for a shuttle to pick him up. He finally called the company asking if they were going to send a shuttle and the guy told him that he was supposed to call for one. My husband was obviously frustrated and said, "ok can you send a shuttle??" To which the man HUNG UP ON HIM!!! Husband called him back, asked him what kind of customer service that was and the guy hung up on him again. Third time my husband called, guy said "I don't have to deal with you, Im canceling your car" and hung up again. Are you kidding me??? Who does that?

TERRIBLE!!!! You've been warned. TERRIBLE!!!
