Unlike Yukky Uno's in Chicago (Changed their sauce) They use to be sooo good. This restaurant still serves traditional delicious Giordano's pizza. The Giordano's on West Sand Lake, not so much. There is a difference. It's a 45 minute drive for me. I'm willing to keep making it. Don't change!!!
Good experience! Pizza is served steaming hot, and tasted great..
My son and I ate here last week, great food, prompt service, clean and nice decor....will definitely come back whenever in Orlando.
We really enjoyed our dining experience! It was the best eggplant Parmesan my wife ever had and the stuffed pizza was divine! We highly recommend this to anyone who loves Italian food!

Provided by Citysearch -This is the best pizza on the face of the earth! There is no better pizza in New York, Italy, or anywhere! Seriously I booked a trip to Chicago just to eat in the original! If you want the best pizza you have ever eaten take yourself to Giordano's! You will not be disappointed! The service is a little slow because the pizza is made to order and takes about 45 minutes to prepare. But it is worth the wait!

Provided by Citysearch -First and last visit there. I went and ordered pizzas to go, they said it would take about 20 min, I waited there for about 45 mins. Took it home, when we got ready to eat the pizza we saw the toppings were not what I had ordered. I called them back? the manager was rude and unapologetic. After a lot of discussion he agreed to make new pizzas, I had to drive back to pick them up as their deliver person was to busy. To top it all the food was horrible. The pizza had a lot of thick tomato sauce and lot of cheese but extremely low on toppings. Rude and arrogant service, bad food, thanks but not thanks. There are many better options?like Carrabba?s where we ate the next day and loved it.

Provided by Citysearch -Poor service especially from the manager. The food was one big disappointment. If he were cooking barbecue the blackened bottom on the pizza would make sense. Giordano does not live up to its namesake in Chicago.
If you have not tried the stuffed pizza you are in for a treat. It's a deep dish pizza with a top crust filled with cheese and meat. Think of a pie. This pizza is the best!

Provided by Citysearch -Ordered Bruschetta to go as part of my order...normally the bread is seperate from the topping in a ""to go""...but not this time! By the time we got ready to eat,,,the bread was so soggy you could not even pick it up! I trashed it and called them...was told the manager would call me back, but he never did. I was in Orlando for three days after that. Disappointing. Never had this problem before. Eat there @ least twice a year while in Orlando...may change that now. I did not go get an uncooked stuff crust to bring home as usual because I was upset.

Provided by Citysearch -We were on vacation in Orlando Summer of 2007. This place was the best pizza I have ever had in my life! It was cheesy and filling! We had a big family of 12 and 2 larges fed them all and we had alot left over! One piece weighs about a pound! I wish we had one where I live.

Provided by Citysearch -Went on the recos on this site and boy did we pay for it. Should have known it was bad news when we walked in the joint and the air conditioning was on the fritz.. In Orlando in the summer!! Well we were all hungry and so I ordered a plate of calamari to start out since we all were going with the pizza. The calamari came back with about 2 lbs of breading and 1 oz of meat. It was sent back and this from somebody that hardly ever sends back food. Well, later on the pizza came and talk about a disappointment.. I'm not a big fan of stuffed pizza so I understand that some people like it this way but the problem that we had is that even though we ordered the thin (relatively) crust, the bottom of the crust was done but above that it was raw dough. In fact when you put it in your mouth the first taste you got was of raw dough. The cheese had no flavor whatsoever and being from Wisconsin I surely know what good mozzarella tastes like and this wasn't it.
Ok so far not so good, even with the crust not being good (which in my opinion, is where the base for a good pizza begins), and the cheese having next to no flavor, you still can save the pie with a good sauce. Not this one though. Can you say bland????? Enough said... Sorry, I'm usually not negative when it comes to things but I guess I take my pizza personally and this one was not good.

Provided by Citysearch -My wife and I came into the restaurant on a Friday night, there was a line going out the door. We were greeted at the door and then seated within 25 minutes. Our server was really running, but he kept up on all his tables. The food came out steaming hot, and tasted great. Overall a fantastic experience. Great food, and even better service.

Provided by Citysearch -Giordanos is a great restaurant. I highly reccomend the stuffed pizza, good value, great food. ORDER AHEAD!!!!! The sooner you order on the way there, the better experience you will end up having. This is a restaurant that you should go to for the food, NOT THE SERVICE.

Provided by Citysearch -My wife had been to Giordano's in Chicago on several occassions and was very excited to find out we had one close to home. The restaurant was somewhat unique and interesting but the atmosphere was boring. The biggest disappointment however was the cheese stuffed pizza. The crust was hard and the dough tasted like the cardboard it was sitting on. I found the cardboard thing a little odd and it made me think the dough was shipped directly from Chicago frozen with toppings thrown on as ordered were placed. The place had few patrons and it gave off the sense that unsuspecting tourists will be its main customer base because I cannot imagine locals eating that pizza more than once. Unless, they just simply have not tried almost any other pizza establishment in Orlando.

Provided by Citysearch -I've been to a couple of these in Chicago and was thrilled when I got to go in the Orlando area. I love the pizza there and miss it very much in the Baltimore area. Be prepared to take half of the pizza home with you.

Provided by Citysearch -I have been to the original Giordonos in Chicago and I have been to both restaurants here in the Orlando area and love them both. Best tasting pizza pie in Florida. It may take 30 minutes to run a pie through the oven but so worth it.

Provided by Citysearch -Forewarning, if your used to California style pizzas, or New York pizza lovers, this may be a little heavy for you. Traditional Chicago style pizza is thick, doughy, chewy, the sausage covers the whole thing. Roughly it's heaven... If your not familiar with the Chicago pizzas, you may not like it, as it is a little bit of work to eat with your hands.
There are a few drawbacks though, It's technically in Kississimmi, which is where most of the tourists stay, so be prepaired for a crowd. ""not a big one though, my wife and I waited for maby 5 minutes at the most"" It's not as busy as another popular Chicago style joint on International Drive. It's not really by the hotels, so you may have a bit of a drive. It isn't really the cheapest either, but then again, it's worth it.

Provided by Citysearch -I've been to this establishment several times. The service was below average (from a manager, no less) as was the food. I've actually been to two different locations of this chain and disliked both of them. Too much dough and sauce for my liking.

Provided by Citysearch -We stumbled across this place on our last night in Orlando and I still can't stop thinking about it. That was 5 YEARS AGO!!! I want to go back to Orlando FOR THE PIZZA!!! Oh, and Disney World of course, but if I had to choose, I'd WANT MY PIZZA!!! : ) Our pizza included fresh spinach, and it was great!!! The waitress was an older lady & was very friendly & knowledgable. The price was fair and I'd gladly pay double to get it here. Go there on DAY 1, so you have time to go back for more!!! Mmmmmm!!!!!!!!!
