My glasses were the 2 for 1 deal, ended up costing me around $600 all together! I didn't buy the warranty as I was/am moving away. A month and a half later, despite asking for the protection spray, my glasses have multiple scratches on them. Tried on the other pair and the lenses, not noticeable when you just try them on, are different.
They also messed up on my sister's lenses. Heating it too high so that the lenses were "wavy" (unusable) because of high heat and they "didn't notice" it until she tried them on and pointed it out to them.

Was advertised $39 per eye exam and was assured multiple times before-hand that that's all the exams will cost (my girlfriend and I had exams together). After waiting 30 minutes after my exam, they told me they didn't have the contacts in stock and would look for another kind. After an hour of more waiting, the employee was wasting her time with random stuff on her desk. I was very frustrated and approached her, demanding a status update. I was told I had to wait for the doctor to finish with the current patient. (at this time 3 other patients had come and left). Once again I was told they didn't have the contacts in stock and that they had to order them/ to come back in a week. This is when they totaled everything out and demanded $158 instead of the advertised $78 ($39 per exam). I was told the $39 is for the eyeglass exam only and that contact lens exams are $40 more. We were lied to, misinformed, and falsely advertised into their services. COMPLETE SCAM. Stay away from this company

These guys deliver what they say without any ""bait-and-switch"". Plus, they are genuinely nice people. I went in yesterday for the ""Buy 1 Get 1 Free"" special and they did not try to upsell me at all. I have insurance, but their special was a better deal than my insurance (and they verified that for me). I found 2 pairs of frames I loved in the $160 section. I had my 2 pairs of glasses less than 24 hours later for $160 total. No hidden charges and no hidden fees. My glasses have single power, plastic (they use only CR-39 plastic -- good!) lenses that are inherently scratch resistant, so no need to add a scratch resistant coating.
And just FYI....I work in the field of optics and you can trust me when I tell you that most people don't need and really shouldn't get polycarbonate lenses of any type. Yes, they are slightly thinner and thus weigh less, but no matter what anyone tells you, you won't be able to notice the weight or thickness difference unless your frames are very large in diameter. The down side of poly lenses is that (1) they scratch MUCH easier than CR-39 plastic, and (2) they induce color errors (called chromatic aberration) in an image because different colors are in focus at different distances away from you. The only people that should really consider poly lenses are those that are getting rimless frames (and want the thinnest lenses possible) or those that need shatter resistant lenses (i.e. for use in contact sports).

I wanted to let everyone know that times must have changed at Eyeglass World. Possibly new ownership but I didn't experience anything close to what had been described in 2008. Saturday, went to see the Doctor and was told that I needed glasses. Made the selections (Bifocals, progressive lenses, anti reflective, UV protection, 2nd pair made into sunglasses) Was told week to 10 days. Today, 4 days later, got the call that my glasses were ready. Stopped in, made the few small adjustments to the glasses and I'm home within an hour. I can't say enough good things about the team there. I'm not saying that the other folks didn't experience bad things but you need to look at the dates on the review. Go see the team at Eyeglass World and don't be scared, they will treat you right.

I would not recommend them to anyone! It ahs been 1 and 1/2 months and we are still waiting on our glasses that cost over $250. The first lenses we received were distorted. Instead of calling us to tell us they needed to reorder, we went in after they said our lenses were ready. Once we arrived, they realized they were incorrect. Don't you think someone should have figured that out before they called the customer? AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Maybe they will be ready soon?

On June 22, I ordered glasses. They said they would be here in two weeks. $270. After two weeks passes and I don't hear from them I call them. They put me on hold. Their phone system hangs up on me. I call right back and they advise 'sorry, it does that all the time.' Say they are going to call me later regarding the delay on my glasses. Never call. July 10 my wife calls and they advise that the glasses had a problem in the lab. Glasses will be in Tuesday July 15th. I go in on the 15th, no glasses. That's it. I want to cancel my order. Can't do that! No manager is here at 4:30 in the afternoon. Got to call tomorrow. Called the manager Corrine. ""Your glasses will be here later today"". I tell her I decided that if the glasses were not there Tuesday, when I wasted a trip going to their store, that I was cancelling my order. Sorry, no can do. ""I don't have the authority to refund. That has to go through corporate."" So I am told they are gong to call Gayle with customer service and she is going to get back with me. I call Gayle and she says that Eyeglass World does not offer refunds on 'custom' work. but she can give me a hundred dollars off for my inconvenience. (Now what the hell pair of glasses is not custom work??????) I tell Gayle that she may hear back from me but I am going to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Gayle hangs up on me. Save yourself a lot of grief and do not go there at all.

I went to them with my frame. The lady there said they would finish in five days. I called after 5, 6, 8 days and it was not finished !!!
On picking up, one lens was larger than the frame and was bent inside it. I asked them to fix that. The technician scratched the lens while doing this. He made an order for a new one right away, giving the good news that I did not have to pay for it .. !!! funny.
Two weeks later they called and I went to pick up. There they said it would take 2 hours to put the lens in the frame. So why did you say that on the phone so I know I will have to spend 2 hours doing nothing in the streets.
After two and a half hours I got it. I went home. The following day I notice the frame was distorted. It is a plastic frame. The right lense is not same shape of left lens.
I went back. They said it was not their mistake. The machine, they said, follow th eframe and cut th elens accordingly. So they mean I have been using my distorted frame and never notice !!!!! In fact I noticed because my sun clip did not fit the frame after I took it from them. It was working before, so why it does not fit it now? Because its shape was changed.
Will give me the old lens so I can show you how it looks and prove to you that you distorted my frame. The lady says: oh we throw them in the trash one minute after you leave. REALY !!!!
The lap person made his idea. He can use some heat to fix but does not gurantee it. So if broken it should not be their problem.
The worst experience ever. One month to get my lenses and I lost my frame.
