Provided by CitysearchLet me start by saying if your not willing to pay $35+ for a real quality steak than you havent had a good steak yet. These from what I can tell are usda prime and not cheaper choice cuts. I had the wagyu steak and it was awesome. The waiter didnt think I would be able to finish it as it was a large cut. It proved to be a easy meal backed by some chianti suggested to me by the waiter and it was perfect. Also as a side note never drink orlando tap water its terrible.

Provided by CitysearchWWow!!!! I normally would not take the time to write a review but tonight-I had to!!! Totally disappointed!! One gets better service at our local Perkins than here. Our waiter ""Walter"" acted as if he were doing us a favor. For a restaurant with higher than average prices, one should get better service. Why did I have to remind the waiter that we needed bread and butter (Party of 5 adults with 2 kids) considering it took so long to get our meal in the first place? The salads were wilted and actually the lettuce leaves were rotten in some areas. The water tasted and smelled of chlorine and albeit requesting the children's meals be brought before ours, they came later after we haad to ""remind"" the waiter. My sister in laws's filet mignon was over cooked an awful! But did anyone ask us how were doing? No!!!! Our waiter didn't. Not even a thank you from him. I am writing their corporate headquarters next.

Provided by CitysearchAfter a busy day at the parks with my family, Charley's Steak House was a great way to end the day. The food was great--from the appetizers all the way down to the desserts--and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quality meal.

Provided by CitysearchAwful food and $$$$$$$. My petit filet was gristly, veggies tasteless and tough and salad very blah. Four of us shared a very modest ($28) bottle of wine and that was it for booze...bill, with tip , was $308. Truly the worst meal I've had in a high end establishment. From now on for me it's go with what you know such as Ruth Chris, Morton's and S&W's..even Outback can outdo this place. . My fault for not sending the entire meal back..but didn't want to make a scene so I guess I can just chalk it up (not chew it up) to a very bad experience.

Provided by CitysearchBetter steak that DelFrisco's! Excellent experience. The service was very professional. The ambiance was very nice.

Provided by CitysearchAlthough the steaks were above average, whoever owns this establsihment should invest some of their profits into training for their management staff. I was dissatisfied with the service and the female mgr. who inquired about our ""experience"" seemed more concerned with repuration than provididng exceptional service. She made us feel as though we were an imposition simply for stating our perception as to the mediocre level of service at best. Maybe the same quality they claim to have should be exhibnited in regards to interaction with their guests. The manager was just shy of being rude and seemed unconcerned with our legititmate complaint for the money we spent. I could spend 200 dollars else where, but I would suggest they start with etiquette training for their management staff (Marianne).

Provided by CitysearchVisited Charlys Steakhouse, as compared to famous steakhouses in major cities such as Miami, New York, Chicago, this restaurant does not level up. Not only is it overpriced, but also the steak was way below average and the service not al all good. I will not recommend this restaurant to friends.
Excellent food. The steaks are to die for. It's pricey but totally worth it. Try the larger than life desserts. They are HUGE!

Provided by CitysearchThis is the second time I have been to Charley's Steak House. My first time was pleasant and my steak was above average. This time however, the service was poor and my steak was below average. I would not recommend this restaurant to any out-ot-town visitors. Locals may have a better experience, but I would not recommend going in a group of more than four. Del Frisco's is a much better dining experience for the money. I feel that when I pay over 36.00 for a porterhouse steak, it should not be tough. I should not have to sit through most of my meal with an empty water glass. Since we came with a group, we were charged 17% gratuity, but our service was not worth that.

Provided by CitysearchThe food was great. Pretty hard to find fault there. The management at this location is terrible. Nine tables were forced to put up with a group with four loud kids, mechanical dino's going off every ten seconds. One kid throwing food, digital flash going on over an over again as the kids laughed at the pictures. We asked the management to get these folks aware that they were not parents and not doing what parents were supposed to do. Control the behavior of their kids. Wait, this is Orlando and paying over a hundred dollars for dinner and putting up with this on a Saturday night is to be expected in Orlando. If you are looking for a quiet romantic night away or a meal away from the convention you have been at all day, this is not the place. I say fire this management group and bring in Nancy P. the new Majority Leader and get her to run this place. At least she has nerve and will talk to the parents and let them know they are ruing the dinners of other patrons. and not put up with inappropriate behavor. Even from the President We got our dessert to go and got out of there as quickly as possible.

Provided by CitysearchSteak here is ample in size and is slightly above average. Would not consider this a 'best' steak house.
However, the pricing is in accordance with the food; so you get your money's worth.
Service is great.
Deserts are huge.
If you dont want to spend top dollar for a steak, this is a good steakhouse.

Provided by CitysearchSlow service...mediocre steak. We waited 3 hours for a seat and our food Friday night. Pathetic!

Provided by CitysearchFirst time in this summer. Great Steaks, service, wine list. Would highly recommend.

Provided by CitysearchThe service was attentive but the featured steak was dry and chewy. The side dishes were well prepared and the atmosphere was ok. Not a place for a special occasion. Their steak is a step below those I've had of memorable quality. They sing their own praises-there must have mentioned at least 4 times that they were among the very best in the country.

Provided by CitysearchWe live in Orlando and go to Charley's for our birthdays every year. The steak is excellent, as are their mushrooms. The ribeye is my favorite. We have quit buying drinks there, though, as the price of a glass of wine gets more and more pricey every time. Desserts are awesome but we usually don't have room, and they're large enough for several to share! Awesome steak! Be sure to make reservations, though, or you'll have a wait.

Provided by CitysearchTHIS WAS HANDS DOWN THE BEST RIBEYE I HAVE EVER HAD! I have traveled around the U.S. for the Best Food. The price was $32.00 for the huge ribeye. I have paid more for steaks that I couldn't even finish because they taste so terrible. I 've eaten at some of the top steak houses in Minneapolis and Chicago and this is by far my favorite place to eat steak. I might even fly back to orlando later this year just to go eat at Charly's. That's how serious I am about perfect food. The service was excellent & very attentive. The ambience was very cozy for a steak house and very private.

Provided by CitysearchWe were a party of four adults and everyone agreed. The food was wonderful, but a little expensive. The service was horrible. If you are paying that much for a meal you should be catered to, especially when we were the only people left in the restaurant.
