Buyers Beware!Purchased a car from the owner Vanessa (Patricia) on October 7th and was told she would register the car and call us when the plates came in. The plated expired on November 5th. We kept calling and she kept saying I have the plate however when we asked if we could go pick it up we were told she wasn't at the dealership and that she was at the auction. We called her on November 4th to see if she had the plate and was told she wasn't working because it was her birthday and she would have it on Monday, November 6. Called Monday, November 6 still getting the run around. Called again on Tuesday same run around. Called on Wednesday, November 8th and was told that she had the plate and she would call me back. She never called back. My husband went by there twice and the plate wasn't there. I finally threatened her with an attorney. So I picked up the plate Today on November 9th which is the actual day that the car was registered. So she never had it yesterday. Did she think we were stupid and wouldn't see the date it was registered. Bottom line is that she had lied all this time about the plate. Hopefully no one else has to go through this. This was absolutely ridiculous that it took this long and that she lies.

Based on my experience of purchasing a car from David Maus VW South I want to warn you about some of their business practices. You will be charmed by the sales staff in your initial encounters, during the test-drive, and the negotiating of the price of the car and the trade (if you have any). Then...you will be introduced to a member of the financial staff who will turn the experience upside down. The first thing they will inform you is that you are being recorded by a camera in the ceiling, then they are going to make you sign a few forms giving up any legal rights you have after this purchase process is completed. My advice is to go through every number in the forms you will sign in your contract including the interest rate (if you are buying) or the money factor (if you are leasing). In addition, look over all the additional fees and charges in the contract before you sign. So take your time, and pay attention to what you are being charged for before you sign, because don't forget at this step in the process you have already given up your rights. Furthermore, they will attempt to sell you a maintenance and service contract and they want a decision in that moment. Their main goal is to make you leave their showroom with a new car, rush rush rush, make sure you take back your driver's license or the keys to your trading vehicle before you go into the finance office. Make sure these are in your possession at all times. Good Luck.

My Acura hasn't given me a single problem since I bought it 3 months ago. The staff was extremely courteous as well as the owner. I would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a quality car for a good price.
July of 2016 I purchased a vehicle & the dealer gave me a verbal guarantee it was in great condition & he lied. The owner, Sam was extremely nice prior to the purchase. I thought he seemed honest telling me if there was ever any issue with the car at all to bring it back & he would take care of it. Right after I purchased the car it started making odd noises & the ac was stuck on the max position. I took it back to him right away to look at. He hesitantly agreed. After having cashed my check he quickly became irate with me & I had a hard time getting the car back. It was a very uncomfortable situation. Ultimately he did give the car back but not when promised & not with the repairs promised, leading me to believe he was just stalling until my check cleared his bank. I have had problems with the car from the start. I have had to replace the alternator, the radiator & the radiator hoses. The check engine light is now on. I have been told there are several issues including the computer module, speed sensor & wiring issues. The car does not shift into gear properly either, it is an automatic transmission. There is a cracked motor mount. There is an issue causing the car to get only 13 MPG, its supposed to get 20 MPG city. I just recently had to replace the headlight bulb which cost $108 just for the bulb alone. The car also just began having starting issues. The AC hoses leak & needs to be replaced & 1 vent is broken. The defogger does not work & I can't see out of the window when it rains. There are stereo issues. The heated seats never worked. Both of the front door hinges are broken & will close on your arms or legs. (they always held the doors open for me when I looked at it, test drove it & purchased it) I paid a little over fair market value for it believing that I was getting a dependable car from an honest dealership. They lied about the condition of the vehicle & the promise to take care any issues that may arise.
Absolutely horrible experience. These people are completr racist. I gave them all documents and 700 down and still no car. Trina kept making assumptions that i was a prostitute or drug addict because I'm black when i told her I'm a hair stylist. Everyday she promised me my car after the hurricane. After it cleared she continued to give me the run around. She help my deposit for 10 days and tried to keep it until i threatened to filed a complaint through the DMV. She even stated if you appear to be MUSLIM she would do a background check and not sell you a car. This is the rudest bitch ever. I havd to curse her ass out twice. They're too cheap to get mechanics so they have their 12 year old kid doing oil chamges and shit. Total bootleg POOR WHITE TRASH. Do not give this bitch any of your money if you are not white
I purchased a vehicle with significant preexisting malfunction and damage known by the selling agent and not disclosed. Winter Park Auto Exchange has been notified with supporting documents but has refused to address it and has avoided attempts to resolve the issue costing thousands of dollars the day we drove it off the lot. I visited this dealership to view a 2010 Mercedes sprinter. The van seemed in good condition but I was concerned as there was a DEF low level warning light illuminated and it showed that the vehicle only had 9 starts left. I pointed out my concern to the sales associate, Jesse, and he had some of the mechanics fill the DEF however the low level light remained on. Jesse assured me that the light would probably go out itself or that the warning light would just need to be reset which was a simple fix. We had driven all the way from Lake worth and were keen to make the deal so we decided to take his word for it and left a deposit for the vehicle. A week later we drove back up to collect the van and pay the remaining balance. Again Jesse assured us that the DEF light would be a minor issue, however shortly after leaving the lot an additional check engine warning light came on. Reading the manual we found it was caused by possible contamination in the DEF tank. First thing the next morning we inspected the tank only to find a yellow creamy liquid inside. We took it straight to a Mercedes mechanic who opened the tank and found that the whole system had been contaminated by something greasy and non DEF being poured into the tank. Unfortunately due to the level of contamination the whole pump, heater module and injectors had to be replaced and the tank removed and thoroughly cleaned. The full cost of this repair was $2680.53. The mechanic agrees that the damage was most likely done whilst something was mistakenly topped up at Winter Park Auto Exchange.
