We were supposed to receive our IKEA order from XPO Last Mile on Labor Day. However, they called that morning and said the driver couldn't locate our packages to load on the truck. I have called every few days since (they never called us, despite me asking for a call from a manager). When I called yesterday (2 weeks later) I was told they had located our boxes -- person on the phone said she was looking at them -- and they would be delivered today. Received a call this morning stating the driver again couldn't find the boxes to load onto the truck. These items ($1,300 cost) were ordered from IKEA on 8/4 and have been in possession of the delivery company since 8/22. It is now 9/13. I have tried to call IKEA to complain, but their automated system is not accepting calls due to "higher than usual call volume."I feel like our furniture is being held hostage, but there isn't even a ransom. We are at the delivery company's mercy, and they are doing NOTHING to resolve the situation. The only times they have called us were to schedule deliveries and to notify us that those deliveries were being canceled because the boxes couldn't be found. We are screwed, and there is nothing we can do about it.
