I was referred to Richards AC from a friend who had work done. I can't say much for the service, because it was hard getting an answer from the employee that was on call. It was 104 degrees outside and my ac was not working, i called early enough that there would have possibly been time to have someone take a look at my AC. The employee on call, was not in the orlando area and kept saying that maybe his helper would be able to come by. I couldn't get a straight answer from him. He said he would call back in 15 minutes and 35 minutes later no call. When I tried calling to find out what was going on, there was no answer. If it needed to wait till tomorrow that's fine, just tell me so I can go about the rest of my day. 3 hours of waiting around for an answer is not acceptable. I am sure they do good work if you can get them over to your house. Very Disappointed so far...
Service Star AC was recommended by several of my neighbors. We needed a new A/C unit because ours was real old. The workers arrived on time and were friendly, neat and knowledgeable. When the work was done they took the time to walk me through the work they did and answered all my questions. They had a second person inspect the job the next day. Price and quality of the work were excellent. I would recommend them to a friend.
Our A/C unit is about 10 years old. We had it serviced by another company but were quoted crazy high rates and given poor service. I called Service Star and Joe really helped us out. Service Star Air Conditioning and Heating was very helpful to us, upon calling them the dispatcher (Amanda) that I talk with was very polite in answering my call, and she set me up an appointment that suit for me. The technician (Matt) was perfectly on time and he was also very friendly. He was quick and efficient in doing the job. Matt was the best. If ever I have to call them again, I would still use the same technician. Great HVAC Company, great people, Great service! I highly recommend!

I first contacted Island Air System about a year ago to fix my old Rheem central air unit. Sure enough, there was a coolant leak and possible compressor damage. Quoted me on a complete replacement, vents, grills, new copper pipes, new drainage, air handler, wireless thermostat and condenser. At the time, despite the INCREDIBLY low price he gave me, I did not have the funds. Fast forward to today, I kept Island Air System's paperwork, called them up and they remembered me. They came out and gave me the almost exact same quote, didn't even have it written down originally. Within a week, they had the units, the permit and began work. When the work was completed, they did a thorough inspection of the units to make sure it was working to specifications. The air was turned down to 74 last night and for the first time ever, the entire house was comfortable! I cannot stress enough, before you call anyone else, you have to call this company. I know for a fact, they will give you the most bang for your buck!
We decided to upgrade our current HVAC system to a Solar Ready XP25 Lennox system. We checked prices and ended up going through Service Star A/C and Mike. Mike was so knowledgeable throughout the research process and helped guide us to making the solar change. We had the system installed and solar panels installed a week later. We have had our system 2 months today and I can honestly say this was the best decision that we have ever made for a home improvement.
