I worked for this company for a little over two years and worked many hours of overtime, covered shifts when people called off and when the other staff didn’t want to stay past their scheduled time. I was having a lot of issues in my personal life (they were well aware of the situation going on) and ended up having to leave due to the personal problems I was having and nothing to do with their business itself. They told me that I could go to them and that we were “family” there. Then they went and told another rental agent working there that they did not care about my situation only if I could continue to stay there to work. They do not care about you, they only care about what fits their agenda. They are now refusing to pay me my last check owed and I cannot do anything about it now other than warn anyone reading this. I’m to the point I can’t even afford to put gas in my car and my bank account is negative. They were well aware of my financial problems and instead of doing the right thing and being good people they decide to withhold that money from me. Also if you go to rent there just know that they take photo copies of your credit card and you HAVE to sign it blank. Otherwise they won’t rent to you. And if you’re looking to rent a car here Save yourself the trouble and go rent with a big rental company inside the airport who will actually take the time to care about you as a consumer!

LISTEN to the reviews that you read and see about this company! They DO NOT CARE about you as a consumer or a customer at all. They only care about themselves. Which you cannot even find out who the managers online are as they are nowhere to be found online. I worked for this company and I was only able to for a SHORT while. I was told "I think it is time for you to find another job", basically meaning were letting you go-fired. Now they are refusing to pay me my last Sales/Incentive Commissions paycheck that is owed to me. They DO NOT care about you and will try to scam you into buying anything. You DO have to sign a blank credit card authorization form whether it is a photo-copy or the old blue punched authorization form and if you refuse they refuse your rental. After the hours I have put in with this company, I just cannot believe they are refusing myself and ANOTHER co-workers pay. Do yourself a favor and stay with a larger company who will actually care and treat you with the best experience you deserve!
Just Awesome Service 8/24/18We checked in and went to upgrade after a Mustang pulled next to us but long story short Alamo card system needs updating doesn't allow same cars run twice on same card ( Looks like fraud from our credit union, even when I had them on phone mind you we are from out of state) so this Manager Brittany upgraded us anyway and I'm posting pictures to prove but her staff that day as well needs a 10 star *****With this said to Alamo( Upgrade your payment system to keep the ease of customer satisfaction)If it weren't for your staff the experience wouldn't be there. AVOID THIS COMPANY. I had to add to the multitude of bad reviews about this company run by a bunch of delinquent felons. Service was atrocious and unprofessional, pickup and drop off times were over 45 minutes, counter processing was plodding with few employees working spending more time selling the usual deceptive unnecessary toll passes, insurance, etc., and giving a car with an empty gas tanks late in the evening and charging for a full tank on return. The worst was the Supplemental Liability Insurance charge on my credit card despite declining it in the contract, which they refused to remove, requiring a long drawn out dispute through the credit company. The Best Rate Car Rental Inc. BBB rating was 1 out of 5 stars based on 6 Customer Reviews with a BBB Rating of F. I only regret not reading this before renting there.
Did a one day truck rental to move some furniture to our sons homes in Jacksonville. Received a reasonable flat daily rate and no mileage charge.Would like to recognize the customer service and professionalism of AnastasiaErofeeva in making the phone reservation, Mickey Johnson in processing the rental and return, and branch manager Leif Anderson for managing an excellent staff.
Twice now I have reserved with these people and they didn't have the vehicle when I got there. On both occasions the one they did have cost me more money. To make matters worse there is no place to review them without creating an account! I'll never book from them again.
I've been renting from the hoffner location for 2 years and the turn over rate is relatively high but I've never had a issue especially with customer service regardless of the staffed team. I was very consistent meaning every 2 weeks I rented and traveled for work. Well until Nick has been replaced along with his crew @ the Hoffner location i will not return and is currently looking for a convenient location with alt company to continue future business! Nick has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, NOT MANAGEMENT MATERIAL & is very rude and seems arrogant with the position he holds! It's not a good luck for the company.
Worst car Rental experience of my life. Normally I use enterprise but I booked my flight to Orlando using a third-party company called just fly. They asked me if I would like to save money and book my car rental. They only quoted me for $200 so I took the deal. I called the day before my pick up to make sure I didn’t need to bring anything other than the required document they listed. I also want to make sure I have enough to cover their deposit. I was told that I needed $300 to cover the deposit. When I arrived at the airport with my bags in hand I called them to have the shuttle pick me up. They told me my reservation was canceled and my car was passed on to the next person. I Explained to them that I already paid for my reservation however they said I did not show up for my reserved time. ( I never chose a time) I argued back-and-forth and they finally said they would have a shuttle pick me up from the airport. I waited an hour and a half for shuttle to pick me up. When I arrived at the office I gave them my proof of insurance and they took my debit card for the deposit . The car was dirty, had a very loud engine sound and smelled horrible . The RPMs kept getting stuck between third and fourth gear And driving as though it was in second gear. I made the best of it without complaint. I returned the car smelling better than what I did when I got in it , made sure to respect fully clean up any garbage behind and even shook all 4 mats that had some sand on it. Not only did they refused to give me back my deposit they charged me another $65 for cleaning fee without any knowledge as to why they even changed the fee . They told me that the $250 was not a deposit rather full coverage insurance that I was mandated to take . I provided them with not only insurance card but my declaration page that I was taking my own insurance. Value car rental are thieves. Please do not rent from this place you may think you’re saving money but you will be robbed blind.
We originally booked our rental for $287 online. Upon checking out our car, we were told we had to have extra insurance of $19 per day, even though we have rental insurance through our own car insurance and credit card and we had printed out proof of coverage, totalling at $105. The agent checking us out was very aggressive in pushing us to have toll coverage and prepay for gas, we ended up getting it because she scared us into it. We ended up going through five .75 cent tolls, which we prepaid $53. Our "prepaid" gas was $27 when renting and ended up being $31 when returning the car. Along with another 40 something in additional fees that we not disclosed when reserving the car, our $287 reserved rental ended up costing us $534. I will be fighting the $4 of prepaid gas on principal. I will never use this "discount" car rental again and do not recommend this company to anyone. If I could give 0 stars I could.
I was so treated so good here!!!! When I rent a car in Orlando, I'll come back. No one was pushy about any of the extras to purchase. My favorite of all was the beautiful Marlene, she helped me out the most. Very hospitable. 5 stars :)
