I bought a 2008 Honda CRF250R mid April 2015 and have had nothing but issues.Prior to purchasing they mentioned they had done an inspection on the bike and there were no known issues; it ran great.Well sure, it ran well for the first three weeks, there after it slowly got harder and harder to start. Come mid September, not even 6 months later, I am having to rebuild the head and more.Motorfrugals did not take into consideration where I live and my bike was not tuned correctly which lead to many issues such as:-Numerous tunes-Jetting issues-Shimmed valves-Rebuilt carburetor-Replaced valves-Re-machined the head and more.I am very, very, disappointed in my purchase being that I am putting all of this into the bike not even 6 months after purchase.
If you haven't been in to Rat King, you need to go today! This place is the best. The owner, Nick is absolutely fantastic, Robert is amazingly smart and cool and every customer is treated like a friend. The only way that they wouldn't treat you like their friend would be if you came in with an attitude, or thinking that you know it all. The guys in this shop love parents who support their kids in the sport. They've been through some life experiences that just make them all the better at what they do. They are completely knowledgeable and will always try to give you the best deal so treat them right. I've been taking my son Brendon there for a little over a year now and when he thought Christmas was going to be a little bit less this year he was actually able to do more than he thought to his Cult. He'll be able to get my even more upgrades around his birthday in the spring and he's absolutely satisfied every time we've ever been there. They also let the kids come and just hang out and they try to have a safe and friendly atmosphere at all times. My sons agree, this is by far the best bike shop that Utah has ever had. Orem just wouldn't be Orem without Rat King, the only bike shop for this bad a** mom!
This place is a joke. The staff are unprofessional. And it was a huge pain to deal with them. The owner Nick is nice, but the person who was in charge was Jordan. He was really unfriendly and overcharged me on a price he original quoted me. I do not recommend this as a bike shop to go to. It is ran inefficiently by college kids who are not competent to run a bike shop. Choose another shop to go to and avoid Ratking bikes. I wasted so much money and time there.
