General Info
Orchard Park Pediatrics is a friendly, growing, award winning pediatric practice founded in 1983. We are conveniently located on North Buffalo Road in Orchard Park, NY with patients from all over the Greater Buffalo area and the Southern Tier. Orchard Park Pediatrics provides quality health care from birth until 25 years old. We are a well established practice with board certified physicians and nurse practitioners. Our goal is to help you raise a healthy and happy child from infancy to young adulthood. We pride ourselves in forming trusting relationships with families that continue to grow through the years. We have convenient early morning, evening and weekend hours. Our doctors are on call after hours seven days a week to help guide you through your child's emergencies. Same day sick appointments are always available. Call in the morning and be seen that morning. Call in the afternoon and be seen that afternoon. We have scheduled appointments so there is very little time spent sitting and waiting in the office with your sick child. We have separate sick, well, and adolescent waiting areas. We even have an entire wing dedicated to healthy newborns. Only well infants and their well parents are allowed in this section. No siblings ( well or sick ), ill patients, or ill parents allowed. This provides you and your infant with a space you can feel comfortable in. Our office has ample off street parking and is handicap accessible. The pediatricians are fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics, members of the Buffalo Pediatric Society and are active in training medical students from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. The nurse practitioners are members of the National and Western New York Associations of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Associates and are involved in training nursing and nurse practitioner students from the University at Buffalo. Our activities allow us to keep current on advances in pediatric medicine. This allows us to provide your family with the best and most up to date care. We are aware that you have put your trust in us to help you monitor your child's growth and development, care for your child in times of illness and, in essence, to be partners with you in raising healthy and happy children. We take this responsibility very seriously and are honored you have chosen us as your child's pediatricians.

Wonderful doctors! Wouldn't go anywhere else! Very easy to get an appointment. Answer urgent calls very quickly even in the middle of the night. The nurses and receptionists are friendly. If you want a pediatric office that cares this is the place to go. When my daughter had issues with her bloodwork and the lab lost it - they followed up until it was found even though it took them until midnight. This was above and beyond but meant we didn't have to go to the ER. I will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Dyson is a wonderful doctor. She always listens to my concerns and has helped my children every time. My children are very comfortable with her and even play "Dr. Dyson" at home. We moved and continue to travel back to Orchard Park Pediatrics to see her.

Overall

My daughter had a fever that lasted more then 24 hours, so we decided to call her doctor and ask if she could be seen. We explained to there triage all of her symptoms, and that we were leaving for vacation the following week and they said not to worry unless her temperature was 104 or higher. At this point we decided to get a second opinion. We called our friends Pediatrician and they said to bring her in right away. She tested Positive for Flu and strep throat. I am glad we did not take the advice of Orchard park pediatrics.

This is not the only reason we have decided to take our children to another practice. We have given them many chances and time and time again they have failed on all levels. I think they have taken on more patients than they can handle. At this time my recommendation would be to find a practice that cares more about treating your children then answering to their bosses ego. My final decison was made very easy for me when the doctor actually asked me "Who I thought I was to question his expert diagnosis" I didn't think to say it at the time but I should have said her concerned father. I hope this helps in your decision selecting your child’s new doctor.
