The large washing machine was leaking, dumping water, between the washer to the left. I called the emergency #- no response for about an hour. The water was pouring out like BUCKETS and the only way to stop it was to shut off breaker. At this point, I noticed this must happen ALL the time. The floor drain on that side of washing machines is EXTREMELY slow and there is a large amount of rust on the bottom of the adjoining machines. When the owner FINALLY picked up phone he was obviously under the influence and could have cared less about the almost 2 1/2 inches of water almost at a stand still, the breakers with NO lock on them. The ONLY way to stop the heavy water flow was to shut off breaker-while standing in the water. At that moment, I was panicking and shut breaker off... I should have let the water continue to flow instead of risking my life, it is unknown what type of surge protection there is, if any. My guess is none considering the UNLOCKED, KEYLESS breaker box is at child height. When this man finally answered the phone he was laughing and ridiculing me and he told me just to bang on the side of the washing machine three times and the machine will unlock itself. Then approximately 30 minutes after talking to this owner, a strange man came in to the laundry mat pretending he was going to do laundry, pretending that he needed quarters at midnight on a Friday night and kept asking questions over and over and over and again. I was glad I had people with me I truly believe The owner send someone in to check to see really what was going on which makes me wonder if those cameras. The owner was extremely cocky and rude and could truly care less about his business. If you have a 24 hour business you need to have someone available 24 hours a day in case something goes wrong like it did and because he was under the influence he was unavailable so in my opinion he is an extremely poor owner of a laundromat.
