My husband and I went to the Olive Garden yesterday. It was so disappointing. They charged way too much or tiny portions. I ordered a glass of wine and got 2 ounces for $6.50. The salad we had to share had one tiny piece of tomato in it. My husband ordered a steak and they should have been ashamed and embarrassed to serve a grown man a child's portion! The waitress was slow. Then, on the bill they "suggest" a tip amount of 20%! We will not be returning!!!

The last time I went was last year, I really couldn't eat. It smelled so bad, it smell musty. They need to clean .I'm not the only one who said it smells. They have one in Waterbury it's new and smell like it should.I hope you take care of the smell.

Happy Birthday, not so much...

A friend asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday and I said the Olive Garden. We usually enjoy eating at the Olive Garden, but this last visit was a BIG miss. It started with my appetizer. Someone had dumped a lot of garlic in the stuffed mushrooms and the calamari was rubbery. The batter fell right off the strips. My white wine cream sauce was greasy with puddles of butter separating from the rest of the sauce. Isn't cream sauce culinary school 101? The shrimp was under cooked and slimy for my taste and was drowned by sauce. It was inedible. To their credit, they took the dish back and asked me what I wanted instead. I really would have rather quit while I was behind and my stomach queezy. I ordered the ravioli and it came with the very minimum of marinara and melted Italian cheses. It was dry and largely tasteless. This last experience was not a happy one, not a Happy Birthday for me. I ran into someone outside the restaurant who asked me about the food. I said you will get a much more edible meal at "99" just down the road. At least I saved them.

Good and Consistent

Excellent food for the money. Very consistent. Not for younger kids.

Quick, Inexpensive, and Filling

This restaurants stays packed-year round! If you are prepared to wait about an hour, then you are in for a treat. I know its not "real" italian food, but I don't have $2500 bucks and air delays to fly to Italy. It's cheaper (ever cheaper if you own a hybrid) to make it to this family restaurant. It's decent, and so is the bill.
