My side pannier opened about 50 miles into my 61 mile rush hour commute I make each way and I found out when I turned the bike and heard the scraping. Thank God I did not have anything in the pannier at the time. I drove over to IRV Seaver and shared my story with Jeff Ottinger who told me that it looked like the rope and metal piece got caught in the pannier which is why it opened after extended driving over the rumble strips on the way home. I asked him if he would please look into this for me and that was over three months ago. I called and left messages every few weeks with no response. I finally had to leave a message for the manager who then had Jeff call me back and tell me there is nothing he could do to help me. I really like this dealership and especially Harley from the service department so it pains me to leave this review but it's the honest truth of what happened. In the end BMW decided not to help me on honor this warranty claim for my 2013 bike and Jeff Ottinger did nothing to communicate this to me after many repeated attempts until the general manager had to get involved.
